The General Election result confirmed that Scotland and RUK are on very different paths, politically, socially and globally. Only the arrogance of the Anglo-Brits now stands in the way of reality. The union has run its 312- year course. The scale of the SNP Landslide last week is being ignored at Westminster. Their placemen and women at Holyrood yesterday once again exposed themselves as nothing but compliant little House-Jocks. Their cognitive dissonance was there for all to see as they tried to defeat the Referendum Bill. This attempt at Unionist projection is now beyond embarrassment. The tiny minds of Uncle Jocks like Willie Rennie, Prof Tompkins and Neil Findlay were on display for all to see and hear. These people, that have never been able to articulate a positive case for the union, want the rest of us to be as accepting of English overlordship as they are themselves. Their wish is for us to obey Westminster and never question, never blame anything on London rule. When Tories embark upon austerity governance, blame the SNP. When Westminster introduces Bedroom Tax, blame the SNP. When London steals the Waspi ladies pensions, blame the SNP. When English NHS fails, blame the SNP and lie about Scottish NHS. When English education fails, blame the SNP. When Brexit ‘fails’ the people in Scotland and jobs and homes are lost who do you reckon the House-Jocks will blame? Will English xenophobia and racism be blamed? Will Carlaw have a mea culpa moment or will he blame the Scottish Government for the English Tories obsession over the EU Project? Will the Labour Branch office ever listen and learn lessons or will it continue to prefer Tory rule from London rather than Independence?

Many of you have witnessed the ridiculous responses by Unionists when I have posed my question. Name three things that can only be achieved by the British Union that cannot be achieved by an independent Scotland. Never have I received anything remotely resembling a sensible answer. 5 years on from the referendum, no Unionist has yet given me a single credible reason, let alone three things. The converse of that question is Name three things that can only be achieved by an Independent Scotland outside of the British Union. Most of you will already have rhymed off half a dozen things in your head without even trying. When the Referendum Bill began its passage through Holyrood, we all heard the First Minister invite the British Parties to offer their alternatives to independence. She had only one caveat the status quo was unacceptable. Since that time all we have heard is murmurings of some kind of Federalism by the Labour Party. There were zero details on how this would in practical terms be achieved or function. They could not supply us with details of how or why an imperialist England and Westminster would agree to such an arrangement. They at least threw a crumb before reverting to type of ‘you cannae have, shut up and get back in your box Jockos.’ The Liberals haven’t even offered as much as Labour, they remained in their usual No, just because No mode. The Tories do not even try to hide their sycophancy to all things Anglo or their disdain for all things Scottish. Jackass Carlaw and his band of Anglo-Brit collaborators would stand idly by if tomorrow Boris Johnson demanded that the first born in every family in Scotland had to receive the King Herod treatment. Indeed, there are a few in their ranks that would gladly drive the trucks.
There is no doubt whatsoever that the present UK Political set up is unsustainable. The Tory PM and the tame corrupt media can only hold this position of denying Scots democracy for so long. They should have learned by now. Since 1945, fifty-five other countries have said no thanks to London imperialism. Fifty-five times London said ‘you are too wee, too poor, too stupid. Fifty-five times London lost out and eventually had to concede the reality.
Scotland will be an independent country, that is a certainty. I knew that back in November 1967 when Winnie Ewing won the Hamilton by-election. The only question since then has been when, not if independence would happen. Westminster has in the intervening years deployed lots of delaying strategies. They have now run out of options. They either have to accept and negotiate a fair and final divorce settlement with their ‘union partner’ of 312 years or resort to undemocratic and fascist tactics to crush the movement entirely. Those are the only two choices left to London. I often wonder how the House-Jocks think they can ever hope to win in this situation. We independinistas know that we will prevail and our final goal is the independent nation of Scotland. We all see that in future those that oppose us today will perhaps form new political parties and participate in the exciting prospect of nation building. That to us Scottish Social Democrats is the final destination. It is also the most likely and realistic outcome.
All those months ago when Nicola Sturgeon stood up at Holyrood and asked the Britnats to give us their alternative to independence it was a watershed moment. That was the last chance for Britnats to give us their vision for Scotland inside the union. The paucity of their responses and their parties have been exposed. Last Thursday the Scottish Electorate gave their verdict. 81% of all Scottish seats said, Independence Nothing Less.
What though is the dream and final outcome for the House-Jocks? Do they for one moment think we will accept because they try to ignore our democratic decision we will just shrug our shoulders and say,’OK we will stop asking and just accept London overlordship forever? We will be good little Jockos and accept that thickos with posh voices are our betters and never again will we vote SNP.’
Even if they try to defeat us by force of arms, they need to realise, we are never going away. The best outcome for everyone in this union is to part on the best of terms. London can either have a peaceful cooperative wealthy neighbour or a resentful wealthy neighbour. RUK has only one thing we need, the ability to cooperate and compromise. Ongoing we do not need English Oil, water, electricity, fish, beef, alcohol, or somewhere to store our Weapons of Mass Destruction.
Here’s the thing that many Anglo-Brits have not yet realised, London only has one card, Scotland holds all the aces!
Tick, tock!

“English over lordship” is IMO a brilliant one line description of the predicament that Scotland has been in for over 300 years. I will try to start using it. “idolising the Westminster Establishment” describes the same as does, “Pseudo – colonialism”. “English overlordship” though is simpler language and more direct. I really like it.
It will of course,be criticised by Unionists. But what isn’t?
“Anti-English” they might say.
It could be that my native Englishness and acquired Scottishness are blind siding me to this possible real issue. “Westminster over lordship” is safer. It is less cutting but also less true; for it is not only Westminster that is eating away at the soul of Scotland, it is the aspirations of the House Jocks and House Jessies to ape the ways of the ruling English classes and literally become Lords and Ladies in the HoL. This is also a danger to a culture, founded on “A man’s a man for a’ that and a’ that” that has sometimes seemed close to death but now seems to be flourishing, at least temporarily.
“…This is also a danger to a culture, founded on “A man’s a man for a’ that and a’ that” that has sometimes seemed close to death but now seems to be flourishing, at least temporarily” It goes without saying, I hope, that the current flourishing condition of the Civic Nationalist movement that YES is enjoying needs to be injected with the means to ensure that the condition continues. It surely has to. I trust that we will be hearing again from the SNP Leadership about the next steps once the official “No” is delivered from Johnston. .
Every previous colony that eventually became independent had its fair share of house jocks (or equivalent) so we don’t need to worry about them. Even the diminishing power of WM can only stall not prevent our journey to freedom. The Scottish people are the key. The ordinary men and women in the street. Once a majority make up their mind – that’s it. All over.
