Corporatocracy

A Guest Post from Soupcruncher

(Received before the Liberate Scotland announcement)

Western elites cannot accept not being the top dogs in the world, so in spite, they’re ruining their own countries in the hopeless rationale of stopping BRICS. Trumps tariff plan will break America and the West, China holds all the cards Meanwhile, the plan to corporatize the world has been stopped by China of all places, the BlackRock, attempted to buy up all the global shipping ports and was blocked by the CPC, the Communist Party of China which is the correct acronym, not as the west advertises the soviet sounding CCP. As I understand it, BlackRock made a bid for the key Panama Canal ports. This is China’s Achilles heel, they rely on fuel imports through the canal, and this would have provided the US with enormous leverage. Let’s be real, BlackRock owns America, it owns the UK, our future is very dark.

Starmer advertises the sale of key UK infrastructure as a drive to deliver growth, the same story we’ve been hearing since Thatcher kicked off the fire sale of UK assets. We are nearing the end, or are already there, everything is corporatized. Our corporate media sells the corporate line to the sheeple, too busy grazing, to lift their collective heads and see the axe coming down. The middle classes are beginning to see, they still believe we can vote our way out of a wholly corrupt system. The game isn’t just rigged, it’s not even a game, it is a set of pens narrowing towards the slaughterhouse.

Our leaders are board members who own every aspect of our lives, food, medicine, entertainment, news, transport etc, etc. Our birth certificates are deeds held by the all encompassing corporate entity.

US military exceptionalism is a Hollywood myth destroyed by Houthi missiles, the British Special relationship gained them a 10% discount on Trump’s tariffs which are already falling apart having been put on “pause”, Ursula von der Leyen rages impotently still apparently believing that the EU can crush Russia with a narrative as reality destroys her stories daily. Every aspect of the West is lies, from our vaunted democracy to our history and news. If you want to see truth, look at Gaza and who is carrying out this horror, follow the money to the gilded halls of the EU, the Palace of Westminster and Washington.

Our children could have a bright future if we became global partners within the BRICS, but we don’t have a say, not just us Scots but the entirety of the Western peoples are irrelevant to our corporate masters. BlackRock ultimately answers to the global banks, who own our debt and through that they own us. We need to understand that the law won’t help us because they own that too. There’s no white knight racing to save us, and any heroes presented will likely be false saviours such as Trump.

We need an exit and there really is none, Salvo is applying to the UN to decide if Scotland is actually a colony while the West is turning in on itself. We may get a good judgement, but I don’t think we’ll get that gotcha moment. Look at Gaza, Israel is universally condemned, yet the slaughter continues and our leadership jails, harasses citizens for speaking out. Journalists are detained, their phones and devices confiscated. As things get harder to maintain for our administrators, the harsher conditions will be. The UN rules in our favour, so what, they’ll do what they always do, ignore and continue.

As I see things, all we can do at the moment is try to survive until it all collapses, tell me I’m wrong please.

  • I believe that a lot of what Soupcruncher says is true, but I do think there is hope. It has to come from a popular understanding that the battle is between the 99% and the 1% and when that becomes clear there will only be one winner. Build new institutions from the base to circumvent the asset management class power and live a good life.

    • My worry is that history tends to repeat itself and there are many similarities today with what happened roughly 100 years ago in Europe, there’s a war and a credit crisis that many believe will lead to an unavoidable currency collapse similar to Weimar Germany, people are being put under pressure through collapsing social services and a rapid influx of refugees, who are in turn being demonised by our corporate press. There’s fake men of the people, Farage and “Tommy Robinson” even his name is fake, people are being steered towards a certain path that will lead to something sinister. The currency collapse would be a great cover for introducing a CBDC, you’ve lost all your savings and pension? The government steps in with a brand-new digital currency to save the day. I’m only hinting at what I believe is coming because I know how crazy it all sounds but look how they’re pushing assisted dying now. If you’ve never seen the 1979 film Soylent Green, it’s pretty much bang on the money for me.

  • Outstanding post , Mark . Alas , you’re not wrong , you’re 100% correct .

Chris Hedges recently made the point ( referencing Marx ) than a time would come ( it’s already here/now ) when the Capitalist System/Mentality , having * conquered * it’s foreign , ie external sources of exploitation would turn on it’s own , ie internal/domestic , ( re ) sources . Devouring the last remaining remnants of the Social Fabric that have hitherto given some protection to * ordinary * people , eg Pensions , Social Security , ( in the case of those countries that have them ) Health Services . This is exactly what is happening .

The ” inevitable ” ( of course it is no such thing ) corollary of this economic cannibalism is to incite wars/conflicts whenever / wherever possible with the aim of ( A ) mass distraction for the reality of the population’s increasing impoverishment , ( B ) ( supposedly ) * boost * the Economy by going into War Production Mode ( in reality , boosting the profits of the M.I.C , the very entity responsible for the creation of conflict ) , ( C ) cull , in particular , the young male population , ie the demographic most able to actually rebel against the ruthless , psychotic imposition of exploititive strictures .

This is all clearly what we’re witnessing and if it goes on without some kind of organised mass resistance we are all completely f****d .

Scotland has a chance of escaping what is likely to be a truly grim future ; but it will take an awful lot more than what’s currently on offer from the Political Parties and their * followers * to have any chance of avoiding such a future .

Again …..brilliant posts , Mark . You identify , name & shame the life-crushing elements that are causing such havoc in the World . Lest we forget ……….OUR World

    • Thanks for the affirmation, it’s encouraging to hear a kindred voice in these bleak times. I worry for the bairns

  • The UK government has belatedly woken up to fact that being the only major industrialised country without a steel industry is a bad look. Imagine all the other world leaders sniggering behind Keith’s back at the next G8.

Whitehall has declared Scunthorpe a “strategic financial asset”. Is it? I mean Port Talbot is twice the size. The UK steel industry ceased to be a strategic financial asset probably when Teeside closed.

Scunthorpe is however strategic in one sense. For strategic read “plate steel”. That’s the stuff that makes major infrastructure projects such as bridges, parts of nuclear power stations, oil rigs (not that we make any of those anymore), and crucially, weapons systems.
Port Talbot is switching to electric furnaces, and those won’t make plate steel (for reasons it would take some time to explain). For Scunthorpe to remain a “strategic asset”, it’ll have to retain its blast furnaces in order to make that plate steel for submarines, tanks, etcetera. Keith really, really needs those weapons systems to compensate (in geopolitical terms) for his tiny tadger. That, and he needs to send weapons to Ukraine because that’s what his handlers tell him to do.

So why have the current owners declared the plant uneconomic? Well, a large part will be that blast furnaces (and coke ovens) are a direct emitter of CO2, and that means Carbon Tax (in the shape of the UK ETS which is effectively a rebranding of the EU ETS). If Keith has any sense, he’ll grant Scunthorpe dispensation from Carbon Tax while he’s “taking control” (read nationalising) it today.
Why not? Claim force majeure. Scunthorpe has no direct domestic competitor to claim unfair advantage, and after Brexit we’re supposed to be able to do whatever we want.

Washington is throwing the niceties of global commerce onto the funeral pyre, we might as well get in on the act.

  • Watching with interest the Liberate Scotland developments, well done all involved with that and good luck.
I always wonder however, how we sent all these good people down to WM in 2015 and yet they didn’t do what we asked them to do, instead they assimilated and settled in. There must be a reason for this, and the reason could well be that our governments are owned and therefore, it is the shareholders who decide on the policies, regardless of the politicians elected. Soupcruncher touches on us all being owned too, through our birth certificates, and this is true, if difficult to grasp. More of us need to understand the significance of the birth certificate and how this stops us being truly sovereign, and there are some doing great work on this, even in Scotland, but it has not yet reached the full consciousness.
