Canons With No Ammunition!

I spend a good deal of my day using, reading and enjoying social media.

There are millions of users on all the different platforms, exchanging pictures, memes, jokes information.

I use Facebook more to see the latest pictures and updates about my grandweans more than anything else.

I prefer Twitter, to me it is instant, you need to think quickly, it is easier to interact and threads seem to me, to be more cohesive.

The other big plus is you are not subject to adjudicators from groups to get your posts on to the ether.

An anecdotal story, I once posted a spoof news item around the time of the Salisbury ‘chemical attack.’

The spoof suggested that Vladimir Putin’s passport had been found near the scene of the Salisbury incident.

Shortly after sharing this with a certain Facebook Group, one of the adjudicators gave me a warning about posting fake news. 😮😮😮😮

These blogs are another pointer to big differences between the two mediums.

Certain blogs it seems appeal to the different audiences with no real definable reasoning behind it.

I can post a blog one day and for every person from Twitter reading or sharing my piece 10 on FB do the same other days it is 1 on FB to 10 on Twitter.

I have tried analysing it, thus far I have no link, no idea why it is so, it just happens.

I do though find with Twitter it is so much easier to identify, mute and block the fuds.

What both the platforms do have in common are trolls, thousands of them.

They pollute and do their best to destroy any rational discussion that questions the status quo or ruling elite.

We know from the information coming regarding Cambridge Analytical, Dark Money, Brexit, Trump Campaign that all sorts of skullduggery and illegality is rife.

The right-wing throughout the developed world is using social media to try and manipulate and control the public.

The newspapers and broadcasters used to be the only source of news and current affairs for the public at large.

The press barons and broadcasters totally controlled the message and did not allow too much dissent, even on the letters page.

The traditional ways of town hall meetings and debate leave them too open to scrutiny and with that the likelihood of being exposed as charlatans.

The old ways of duping the public via the media no longer apply.

Sites like Wings Over Scotland are too efficient at exposing media lies.

Why else do you think the establishment hate and fear it so much?

The tragedy being some allegedly on the side of YES act as allies against WOS and other New Media outlets and individuals.

The truth is too available on line, this is very bad news for the ruling class.

The elite is spending copious amounts of money to limit the influence or destroy social media as a tool for the people.

The 1% fear truth and an educated population.

Why do you think they try to discredit the ‘cybernats’ every opportunity they get?

Why do you think the Tories are looking at legislation to ‘regulate’ the internet?

We in the YES Movement and SNP Party have used social media as an outlet for the voice we are denied through the traditional media.

The internet has given a voice to millions of people who until now have been ignored and disregarded.

The Independence Movement has only ever had one newspaper at any one time supporting the cause of self-determination.

There may be only one outlet however even that is one too many for the naysayers.

They are always decrying it and are even known to be hiding copies of The National behind the other 99% of the unionist newspapers in stores and supermarkets.

The right-wing House-Jocks and Anglo-Brits fear the truth, democracy or debate.

We often see on Twitter the mental gymnastics and embarrassing deflection employed by Britnats when asked even simple questions.

We have talked of this phenomenon on here many times, unionists only like asking questions, they hate having to answer any.

The reason is straightforward, they have no answers to even simple questions, if you don’t believe me try any of these next time you are on social media or having a face to face with a British Union supporter.

Is Scotland a nation?

A question that requires a simple ‘Yes’ or ‘No’  maybe even a ‘Yes of course it is.’

The problem is a unionist cannot just say, yes, because he knows the follow-up question will floor him.

….if yes, ‘isn’t it normal for nations to govern themselves and not have a neighbouring nation do it for them?’

The Unionist will do anything to avoid this predicament, so he will use semantics to avoid answering the question directly.

The favourite evading non-answer is, ‘ it is part of the United Kingdom!’ or ‘it depends what you mean by a nation.’

They will then quickly try to change the subject and ask questions of you.

The killer questions are of course,

‘Can you name 3 things that can only be achieved by the British Union that cannot be achieved by an independent Scotland?

‘Can you give me a positive case for the union?’

These two are likely to bring on severe and acute anxiety in the House-Jock, followed by abuse directed at you and a likely blocking.

You will never, ever get an answer to these questions believe me I have tried with ordinary posters, Councillors, MPs, MSPs, Journalists, Professors.

They either ignore the question, reply with drivel or attack me suggesting question is a nonsense and they don’t have to justify the Union.

Many of you I know have noticed a ramping up by the naysayers on social media and in the press.

The 5th Column posing as the Fourth Estate are increasing their attacks on the SNP.

The propaganda machine is churning out as much bullshit as it can in any one day.

In response to the First Minister’s polite request several months ago to bring forward alternatives to Independence, the unionist House-Jocks have at least remained consistent.

They have not offered a single alternative to the status quo.

The British Labour Party in Scotland have gone for their old favourite a ‘commission’ to discuss more powers to Devolution.

We have seen them do this so many times we can almost second guess the conclusions.

This will take months to report back and will probably suggest extra powers that Westminster would never countenance ceding to Holyrood.

The Tories solution is to complain about  anything and everything, especially the ability of local authorities to implement a car park levy in their jurisdictions.

It should be noted to date the only local authorities to do so are all Tory controlled however that doesn’t stop Tories complaining.

No to a Democratic Independence Referendum and copious lies and denials to boot.

We have had one of their number suggesting Scottish Alcohol retailers are losing revenue because of MUP as jaikeys from all over Scotland drive to England to stock up with different brands of vino collapso.

Even though at the most recent verdict at the ballot box the Tories managed 11.9% and the SNP came first on all but one Constituency Tories still think they are the ones that can tell the other 88% what to do.

The Liberals in Scotland are still trying to pass off their complete hypocrisy on referendums as a balanced position.

Every day on social media more and more paid trolls are appearing with the sole intention of disrupting and spreading false stories and discord.

We have all encountered numerous posters and tweeters pretending to be YES sympathisers that are spewing all the old unionist tropes and lies.

We have the members of the British Political Parties in Scotland openly lying to the Scottish public about all manner of things in Scotland.

We have journalists and broadcasters similarly lying to their Scottish audience.

The biggest crime of the media is not their bias it is their dishonesty in what they don’t report to the public.

They are supposed to be a bulwark against the establishment for the public.

What we have in Scotland and throughout the UK is a media that is an apologist and propagandist for the elite against the best interests of the people.

We have paid trolls and £millions of #darkmoney being deployed to lie for the union.

There is even an army detachment, 77 Brigade that has the remit of using cyber war against those of us that want our nation to just be a normal country.

It is however more like a Dads Army farce than a force for good.

https://www.theregister.co.uk/2019/02/21/77_brigade_twitter_account_hacked/

There you have it, Unionists won’t answer any questions, they need to employ people to pretend to be yes supporters to try and discredit the movement.

The media likewise have to lie and misinform because to tell the truth would see the status quo collapse.

The British Political Parties based in Scotland on behalf of their imperial masters in London have not got a single suggestion or policy to make life better for ordinary Scots.

They can only suggest that everything in Scotland from Health, Education, Transport, Tourism any power in Scotland is just bad even when the evidence suggests the contrary.

They even condemned and voted against Baby Boxes for weans.

All this subterfuge, dishonesty, illegal money, cyber technology, corrupt media so they can hold the union together.

That says all that needs to be said about the British Union.

The British Union and their House-Jocks to quote a guid Scottish jibe is,  Aw fur coat an nae knickers”

It is worthless, useless, incompetent, dishonest, corrupt, it is way past it’s sell by date.

The time has come to end this farce, it is time to end the union.

We are ready, they are not, the YES Movement has been on stand by since 19/09/2014.

It is time to unleash this unstoppable force for Scottish Independence.

We will never have a better chance!

  • It’s hard to believe people still don’t believe all this is going on even after the Cambridge analitica scandal. I heavy noticed the ramping up of trolls on social media its been obvious even before we knew what SIU where up to. They knew social media was our biggest tool the 1st time round and they are desperate to pull that from us, like a digital man made famine. To all the people who are monitoring these sites I can’t say this enough, I genuinely didn’t have any real aspirations to break up Britain although there was plenty needing sorted devolution to federalism was one but they destroyed it not us. WGD gets it spot on and puts it better than I could but the people who profess to love the union where the ones who killed it
