Historians all suggest that the 1745 Jacobite rebellion ended at the Battle of Culloden on 16th April 1746. The Army of Charles Edward Stuart was indeed decisively defeated there by Butcher Cumberland. However, I, like many others believe the campaign to restore the rightful ‘British Monarchy’ failed the previous November at Derby. It was here that the Scottish Lords and nobility, the Prince’s advisors took fright. They advised Charles that he should retreat back to Scotland and regroup. The Duke of Cumberland was rumoured to lie ahead with a British Army loyal to the squatting monarch George11 the son of the Wee German Lairdie, George the Elector of Hanover. The Jacobite nobility rather than face the army loyal to the German monarchy outside London thought it better to lure them to Scotland to fight on home soil. This strategy seemed to be vindicated when a Scot’s General, Lord Murray won a notable surprise victory at Falkirk Muir 17th January, 1746 against Cumberland’s British Army. Although a tactical victory for the Jacobites it could not be turned into a war winning rout only because of the short winter days that allowed Cumberland to withdraw and regroup. After this it only encouraged the Jacobite generals to retreat further north in the belief that geography and deprivation would weaken the British invaders. Alas, we now know that did not happen. Scotland has paid a heavy price ever since. The slaughter of the dying and wounded did not stop in the aftermath of the battle. Prior to the rebellion, Scots constituted around 25% of the population of mainland Britain. Now nearly 300 hundred years later it is down around 8.9%. This is due to several factors. The Highland Holocaust that followed the battle. Genocide and ethnic cleansing of the Gaels in particular. Forced migration to the colonies and suppression of the clan system. In more recent times economic migration has played its part in depopulating our nation. The greed of London doesn’t just suck in our taxes and resources it also steals our people.

This could have ended differently if the Prince’s advisors had acted differently. The Duke of Cumberland’s Army was not yet as strong or as organised as it was to be some six months later. Had the Jacobite army pressed on to London George11, and his court was ready to flee back to Hanover. The ‘power brokers’ of London who have always only ever had loyalty to their wallets were ready to offer Charles Stuart the crown. We could have had a Stuart King, Charles111 in 1745, instead it will be the next monarch in UK, Charles Saxe-Gotha Coburg also known as Charles Windsor that will have that title.

Now in 2020 we Scots are once again in a position of taking back control. We are metaphorically at Derby. This time it is not a Jacobite Army but a democratic army of votes that we take to London. We do not want to restore a monarch we want to restore our independence and democracy. Our leader this time was chosen by us not given to us by accident of birth. She too though is surrounded by advisors. This writer has already been critical of those advisors. We have to hope that they are now emboldened by the huge General Election victory, and they do not falter. We need boldness and ingenuity not timidity.

We must not make the same mistakes as were made in 1745. This time we must boldly go forward and claim what is rightfully ours. London is in a panic, and it is time for us to press home our advantage. Many of my fellow bloggers and followers on Social Media have expressed their doubts on the strategy of the SNP. Some have even suggested there is no strategy. I have held the belief that the Party has several strategies in place to meet any and all scenarios of this contemptible English Tory regime. I hope I am not wrong.

We are only a few days into this year and even fewer into this new Parliament. The short time that has elapsed has shown the world the contempt shown to Scots and Scotland by the English Parliament. The braying and heckling of SNP MPs by the English Tory regime MPs is an affront not only to our nation but to democracy. Speaker Hoyle has  shown his anti-Scottish colours by allowing some of this dreadful behaviour by the English Public School Tory buffoons. Even Cabinet Ministers of the Germanic Crown have been blatantly lying about Scotland. The Secretary of State for Scotland Mr Union Jack himself told the biggest whopper of all by suggesting that Scots voted to leave the EU. It seems in Westminster 62% is a smaller percentage than 38%. 80% of all Scottish seats is not a mandate. Four election victories in a row endorsed by the Scottish electorate counts for naught. To the English Tory Regime democracy in Scotland ended at 10.01 PM. on 18/09/2014. A throwaway comment by the then leader of the SNP is the only SNP words they accept. It seems that ‘once in a generation’ means never ever again to the Brits.

1,242,380 Scottish voters gave the SNP its instructions on December 12th, an Independence Referendum this calendar year. We all know the imperialist English Tory regime will deny a Section 30 order. They don’t do democracy in England, history tells us that. From the moment the American Colonists fired the first shots on April 19th, 1775, to Brunei in 1984, 63 countries have claimed their independence from imperialist London. The British ruling elite has always adopted the same stance, denying democracy, delaying, lying, threatening, bullying, stealing,murdering and most importantly always losing. They never learn, this time it will be no different. They will lose, we will win. I do not yet know how it will be won. It might be that being refused the Section 30 it goes to the courts or we press ahead without and win a resounding victory that is recognised by the other nations of the world. The EU may force Westminster to respect Scottish Independence Referendum as a condition of any Trade deal for RUK. It may even be that for the first time ever sense prevails and the Britnats accept the inevitable. Even the thickest English Imperialist must realise that the 1.2 million+ are not just going to shrug their shoulders and accept being told no by the English Parliament. They might want to adopt the Velvet Divorce strategy that worked so well for Czechoslavakia. That way they have a friendly, wealthy neighbour to the north.

This week Australia’s flat out rejection of a Trade deal with the UK should have sent shock waves through the entire ranks of Little Englanders. Reality met the mistaken belief that everyone loves Mother England. There are some that still believe all the countries of the world will rush to do favourable trade deals with Brexit UK. The truth is the Anglo-British are one of the most detested peoples on the planet. The English determination that ensured Britain /UK/England are interchangeable are about to reap the whirlwind of almost 1,000 years of rape, pillage, genocide, war crimes, slavery, persecution and downright criminality. England has very few friends in the world. Today they might not believe that. However, as time passes and more and more countries reject their overtures maybe, just maybe common sense will prevail. Now would be a bad time for Westminster to make another enemy.

There are two ways to do this, let us hope our English neighbours choose the nice way. We Scots are the best friends you can have, the reverse is also true, you do not want us as enemies. We never forget and we carry grudges to the grave.
