Nicola Sturgeon dismisses concerns over gender reforms as ‘not valid.’
The Narcissistic personality disorder — one of several types of personality disorders — is a mental condition in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance, a deep need for excessive attention and admiration, troubled relationships, and a lack of empathy for others.
Signs and symptoms of the narcissistic personality disorder and the severity of symptoms vary. People with the disorder can:
- Have an exaggerated sense of self-importance.
- Have a sense of entitlement and require constant, excessive admiration.
- Expect to be recognized as superior even without achievements that warrant it.
- Exaggerate achievements and talents.
- Be preoccupied with fantasies about success, power, brilliance.
- Believe they are superior and can only associate with equally special people.
- Monopolise conversations and belittle or look down on people they perceive as inferior.
- Expect special favours and unquestioning compliance with their expectations.
- Take advantage of others to get what they want.
- Have an inability or unwillingness to recognise the needs and feelings of others.
- Be envious of others and believe others envy them.
- Behave in an arrogant or haughty manner, coming across as conceited, boastful and pretentious.
At the same time, people with the narcissistic personality disorder have trouble handling anything they perceive as criticism, and they can:
- Become impatient or angry when they don’t receive special treatment.
- Have significant interpersonal problems and easily feel slighted.
- React with rage or contempt and try to belittle the other person to make themselves appear superior.
- Have difficulty regulating their emotions and behaviour.
- Experience major problems dealing with stress and adapting to change.
- Feel depressed and moody because they fall short of perfection.
- Have secret feelings of insecurity, shame, vulnerability and humiliation.

Does it remind you of anyone in particular? The longer I live the more I realise just how many narcissists exist in our society. In my humble non medical opinion at present in Scotland and England we have two chronic narcissists heading up the two governments of Scotland.
Two individuals who tick most if not all of those boxes. We know in the SNP that anybody that dares to criticise, does not obey or goes against Sturgeon in any way is brutally attacked, silenced and marginalised. Ask Joanna Cherry, Joan McAlpine, Mark Mcdonald, Margaret Ferrier. Look how she reacted to rumours of a possible return of Alex Salmond to front-line politics.
We note that her Praetorian Guard, the young team idolise her and heap the praise she so craves. Others like Joanna or Angus Brendan that criticise her are estranged and left to wither on the back benches. Second raters like Anne McLaughlan are given promotions. McLaughlan to replace Joanna Cherry, not because the failed drama student is more capable, in fact the exact opposite, she is not a patch on Joanna however she is a sycophant that won’t ever do or say anything against the Great Leader.
Serial failures like Shirley-Anne Somerville are promoted for the same kind of sycophancy and unquestioning obedience and subservience. A willing accomplice to any policies, schemes or conspiracies that enter Sturgeon’s mind. Somerville is the one that sent Social Security powers back to Westminster blaming “technical challenges” for the Scottish government’s failure to take full control over devolved benefits. Her reward for failure, a promotion to Education Secretary.
Humza Yousef, the serial failure, at Transport, Justice and now Health. Another one that is only there because of his devotion to the narcissistic leader. He sure isn’t there for his talent and expertise. He is the one that brought us the Hate Crime Bill to ensure the great leaders biology denying GRA Reform Bill gets passed without debate or question.
Sturgeon has surrounded herself with nodding heads and weak individuals of no talent and low morals. That is what narcissists do, they need people of lesser ability around about them, it plays into their need to feel superior. Being a failure as a lawyer was just the start for Sturgeon, so finding people with less talent isn’t easy, however with the ones mentioned I think we can safely say she for once succeeded at something.
Sturgeon ensured that intellectual giants like Joanna Cherry and Philippa Whitford couldn’t stand for Holyrood. They would have been a challenge to her authority so best keep them out of harms way at Westminster answering into that other untalented specimen, Ian Blackford. Sturgeon prevented Scotland having the best possible Justice and Health Secretaries of any nation in this Union. Her narcissism just couldn’t allow these extremely talented women who are specialists in their respective fields to shine in front of the Scottish public and take any limelight away from her fragile ego.
What Sturgeon has been brilliant at is destroying the independence movement. Alex Salmond who with just six MPs and independence at 28% in the polls took us to within a whisker of independence. His reward, traduced and demonised by Sturgeon and her cohorts with lies, smears and false accusations.
The YES Movement divided and marginalised by her failure to engage. She has also set her attack dogs on AUOB, Now Scotland and of course the Pro Independence blogging community. She did however give the anti-Scottish, English/UK MSM a £3,000,000 bung!
She has employed the architect of the Vow, Murray Foote. Brought Sir Nicholas Macpherson the architect of Better Together’s ‘you can’t use the £ in 2014 strategy for George Osborne to deploy. She also appointed Benny Higgins Executive Chairman of the Duke of Buccleuch Estates, a ex banker and a stalwart of the British Establishment. All these Britnats advising her why is anyone surprised independence is not a priority for Sturgeon? Independence only gets priority or mentioned around Conference and election times.

Yesterday she brought in a statutory Westminster instrument to prevent anyone daring to demonstrate against her outside her Parliament at Holyrood. How dare any Scot think that Holyrood is their parliament, it is Nicola’s and only Nicola’s institution. No dissension allowed, no democracy allowed, only obedience to every whim of the Dear Leader. The boos that rang out against her by the women’s rights protestors earlier this week ignited her extreme narcissism, and she has reacted by making protests illegal.
There is the evidence for you. She surrounds herself with incompetent sycophants and die hard British Unionists and some of you still think she is Scotland’s best opportunity for independence? If you are one of those that still believes that, I have a bridge for sale.
I personally think on this occasion she might just have overstretched herself. In 2017, I wrote a blog about the fall of the Berlin Wall. It explained that it wasn’t a single act that brought about that famous night. It was many small actions throughout the Soviet Empire and in Rome as well as pressure from the west.
I believe it will be the same for Sturgeon and her now hollowed out SNP. All the actions will eventually come to a head. Just as the wall fell when least expected so will she, it is only a matter of time it is not in any doubt. For someone with such narcissistic characteristics, history will be brutal towards her. She has set back our cause by possibly decades. We will prevail, however it will take time and determination to repair the damage she has wrought upon Scotland and our noble cause.
Webcom Radio is Now Playing:
Very very true.
Her political demise cannot come soon enough for Scotland.
Unionist and nationalists should join forces in common cause to rid us of this utter fraud.
Why would the unionists do that – she’s been the answer to their prayers!
You have answered the question we have asked time and time again ie. WHY?. Now everything falls into place.
Thanks, Roddy.
Time to appreciate the Alba21. I am unable to attend but I have good friends who are going so I’ll hear the news when they return.
I think he has declared to be for Scottish Independence?

Yeh that’s what Murray Foote said as well. Don’t believe it.
Unfortunately for Scotland a very accurate description of the current FM.
I think the problem is…we don’t have time. Our people are hurting now and it will just get worse. What do we do to get our independence as quickly as possible. It’s a very depressing situation.
Nicola Sturgeon said yesterday the SNP run on “Collective Responsibility”. Anybody remember “I was only following orders”?.
Excellent diagnosis Roddy. The end is surely near.
In addition to the leadership’s psychological problems, an oppressed peoples’ plight is very much affected by psychological conditioning of the native population, as outlined here: https://yoursforscotlandcom.wordpress.com/2021/08/15/determinants-of-independence-ethnicity/
In any event, postcolonial theory tells us all we can expect under colonialism is an elite of ‘schemers’ and a ‘mediocre meritocracy’, and there seems absolutely nae doot aboot thon.
Spot on Roddy ,I’ve been saying ages it’s the white jacket and padded cell time. The woman has lost the plot. As said before a how long will it take for the penny to drop before the flock actually believe she is not a heroine, but a woman with sevral problems intent in carrying out her plan no matter what and at whose expence. Unfortunately It’s Scotland and her people who are be victims of her venom.
What made sturgeon a narcissist?
Google ‘Narcissistic Injury’
And you may find the answer
I have suspected Sturgeon as having NPD for a good while now. It’s evident whenever she speaks about ‘her government’, and during her Good Morning Britain interview when she stated “I have just won an election …”
It’s time for both the people and the media to start making a bloody loud noise. She needs to go.
A great blog Roddy and a very fitting description of the person concerned. Her action preventing protest at Holyrood is, I think, perfectly summed up by Denise Findlay “If they cannot win the argument, they make the argument a crime” I’m not sure if those are the exact words but the sentiment is there.
Thanks! Succinct.
It’s a disgrace this is allowed to continue.
We must change our political structures to prevent this ever happening again, and those who try it on are immediately brought to account.
