ALBA Party have called on the Scottish Government to pause steps towards removing jury trial where there are accusations of serious sexual offences.
In a policy position approved by the Party’s Spring Conference, ALBA Party say that they are committed to the use of citizens to assess credibility and reliability of evidence, actions and thoughts of witnesses and of accused persons.
The Scottish Government are currently embroiled in controversy as legal professionals across Scotland have intimated that they will not take part in juryless trials for cases involving the prosecution of serious sexual offences including rape and attempted rape.
ALBA Party have now called on the Scottish Government to halt their plans.
Commenting ALBA Party’s National Equalities Convener Eva Comrie said:
“ The Government is ploughing ahead with plans with only sparse evidence to support the effectiveness of their intentions and without having firstly carried out significant consultation work with Scotland’s valued legal profession.
“ If trials involving sexual assault and rape are determined solely by a judge, and not a jury, then there is an inherent risk that these trials will become politicised, as will the individual prosecution rates of Judges.
“ Our system in which citizens assess the credibility and reliability of evidence, actions and thoughts of witnesses and of accused persons has worked well for centuries. The Scottish Government should halt their plans.”

TRIAL BY JURY MOTION
Conference recognises that the conduct of investigations and trials relating to rape and other sexual offences is a cause for concern in Scotland in 2023.

The Sturgeon/Humza cabal want to create a Stasi state so they can suppress Patriots for their colonial masters. You cannot trust the Colonial SNP administration not to abuse the Scottish legal system for their own ends. Scottish legal system is distinctive from English legal system and Symbolises Scottish Sovereignty and Nationhood. Enemies of the British state will be tried without a Jury at the Whim of a Unionists Judiciary and corupt SNP Colonial administration, we all know they want to finish ( Alex Salmond), but we know no one will be safe in their facist Colonial Brexitland run by puppets of the UK establishment.
Also another non political point to this is every Judge, Lawyer, and mental health professional knows that Sociopaths, Psychopaths, and Narcissists lie and falsely make up allegations projecting their abuse on to their victims. This is why Jurys are so important to ensure Justice. These people smear and destroy their victims reputations and enjoy having power over them and particularly like pushing people over the edge. They are that experts at lying and can pass lie detectors tests without any problem ,this is the main reason that lie detectors are not used in this country . There is a certain ex-first minister who in my view fits this Psychological profile, given her abysmal record todate she should have been suspended pending investigation. Is it not suspicious how she has been allowed to keep on pulling the syrings by proxy.
Any rational politician would take advice from legal professionals. The fact that Humza and friends refuse to consider their opinion is a sad reminder of recently adopted SNP idiocy.
I think if the SNP colonial administration was really concerned with rape they would stop the rape of the Scotland by our parictical neighbour , which incidently has went on for over 300 years, a clear cut case of serial rape , why dont the SNP cabal wish to put the perpetrator in the dock. I do not accept that we are in a truma bond or in a state of Stockholm syndrome. We have given you 6 mandates, most political parties push policies the electorate want, which as the mandates suggests is clearly independence. We dont want GRA or trial without Jurys we want an end to the corupt to rotten to the core Zombie Union. The pretend independence partys time is coming to an end now we see what has happened, betrayal always has a price .The Scottish electorate are frustrated and grossly disappointed in those we foolishly trusted, but we wont be voting for any Unionists parties or a dud compromised devolutionist SNP.
Dissolve the Union
The proposal to remove juries in trials to be replaced with a judge is just another example of the authoritarian hand that is descending over our land.
The use of juries to hear the evidence and decide on guilt has its roots in justice. Judges are appointed. They are sole arbiters. They are beholden to the political masters. The old expression about a hanging judge was a real one. Judges were a political instrument of suppression and terror. Their use was extensively used all around the British colonies.
Taking out a poor nigger and hanging him from a tree as a symbol of terror was not as far removed as one thinks. It was in the colonies de rigeur. But some of these colonies were and are nearer to home.
In the 70’s absolutely innocent Irish men and woman were jailed for crimes they did not commit. Fitted up as one could describe it to appease political and public sentiments the Guildford Four and Birmingham six languished in jail for decades for decades despite the authorities knowing they were innocent. Some even died in incarceration. And the view of a learned English judge when the pressure started to come on about the jailing of innocent men and woman was that it would have been better if they had been hanged at the time and the matter over and done with.
Scotland over recent years and through the malign actions of the COPFS and the Police Scotland have shown themselves to be as equally biased as the aforementioned learned judge. As indeed have some of the judiciary too, Lady Dorian and the Alex Salmond case being an example. And now the SG want to dispense with juries, which they quite openly admit is to increase conviction rates.
And so a rotten biased political police force, a rotten and biased COPFS and now politically beholden to compliment the other two strands of the so called justice system A politically weaponised justice system more like.
And where have we seen this in recent years. Faraway lands in the Caribbean or maybe nearer to home in adjacent Northern Ireland where there were courts called Diplock Courts where sitting alone, and on the evidence of RUC police, and or special branch, citizens could be arrested and interned on the sole sign off by a judge in camera.
And not so different from 1930’s Germany where through the use of the Nacht und Nebel decree political police could in camera arrest and remove political enemies of the state. And now we propose amongst a raft of other similar strategies to remove juries and tread the same fascist path.
No wonder that the Americans colonials after they threw the British out resolved to introduce the second amendment to allow the people to protect themselves against oppression – or as one commentator at the time said, to allow people to protect themselves lest the British came back.
But aside, it is all too painfully clear that when a country goes down the rotten and corrupt rule of law as cotland and the UK is now doing, it all eventually ends in tears.
We allow ourselves to tread that path at our peril as our Scots law is changed under our faces.

Now I know Humza Yousaf has a thing about Whites because he gave a rant about it in the Scottish Parliament.
Quite who Yousaf thought were whites and who were non whites only Yousaf can explain.
However, he recently appointed a Manchester based accountancy firm to audit the SNP and an audit firm that on its website trumpets that it’s chairman is one of the top one hundred most powerful Asians in the UK.
It’s not a good connection especially since there is a similar question to be asked about exactly who Asians are. Maybe we need the skin tone meter or the calipers to measure the width of the noses of applicants for a job.
And so utterly incredible that Scotland’s biggest SNP places an advert for teachers saying that whites need not apply. Maybe the same could be said about Kaflicks and or that only freemasons of good standing should apply. Racism and bias seems more than alive in well in our party of government.
And then the SNP want to ban juries and to be replaced by who?
