Over the years we have all heard fellow independinistas bemoaning the Anti-Scottish MSM and British Broadcasters. The howls of horror about their bias and lies. Countless people like myself have been pointing out that their biggest crime is not the lies.Their biggest crime is what they don’t inform us about. We have a #wheeshtfortheunion as well as the more famous #wheeshtforindy ‘We don’t want a media that is just pro independence all we want is the truth has been the cry.
It is not true though, is it? The past 12 months have been horrific for the SNP. The leadership and Party have been exposed as incompetent, verging on criminal with some of their less than strategic moves and deeds. It all began with Alec Salmond winning a Judicial Review on 8 January 2019. He won his inquiry case against Scottish government on the grounds of bias and possible illegality.We would have an entire year to wait before the full horrors and corruption of our government became apparent.
Nicola Sturgeon delivered her now famous capitulation speech in January 31st 2020 on Referendum 2020 and halting Brexit. The entire General Election Campaign in December 2019 that had been the SNP pitch.Vote SNP to halt Brexit and have a referendum in 2020.A few weeks later here was the Party Leader admitting the entire campaign had been a con job.
That was what began the downward trend in trust of the SNP by so many of the faithful, myself included. Ever since then everything Sturgeon goes near turns into a disaster.
The Tories won an 80 seat majority in December, 2019, confirming that Brexit was guaranteed. It was, at this moment that the polls began switching in favour of Independence.The same upsurge in Wales for both Plaid Cymru and Welsh Independence mirrored the polls in Scotland. It was also true in Northern Ireland for reunification. Those that attribute the high poll numbers in Scotland just to Nicola Sturgeon fail to explain the mirror effects in Wales and Ireland.
Then along came the double whammy, the Alec Salmond trial and Covid 19. Neither of these had a detriment to the polling. Indeed, the polls kept climbing one even managing to get to 58%. With every cock up by Boris Johnson and his crew of crooks and sociopaths more and more Scots looked for a route out of the broken Union.
Though as more and more began to seep out of the Salmond trial some rather uncomfortable truths began to emerge. Had it been left to the Anti-Scottish media all that would ever have been known would have been the lurid accusations of the prosecution witnesses. The corrupt Scottish hacks had already found Alec Salmond guilty as charged and that was before the trial had even begun.The BBC had even commissioned Kirsty Wark to make a documentary about the demise of the great man.
Everything was in place except for a trial, a jury and a verdict. Mere annoying details to the House-Jocks and the corrupt MSM. The Brits had fixed everything else to get their desired outcome or so they thought.
Fortunately for those of us interested in the truth we had the gallant heroes Grousebeater and Craig Murray (at least for a day) inside reporting on both sides of the trial. Needless to say the truth painted a very different picture than the corrupt MSM wanted Scotland to believe. Uncomfortable facts began to emerge that implicated the SNP and worse still the First Minister in the entire fiasco. The defence team didn’t take long to demolish the prosecution case and of course, as we know all 13 charges, were kicked out by the jury.
The aftermath has been far worse and has shown Nicola Sturgeon, her husband and officials all being less than truthful with facts, surrounding the entire case. Redacted files, evidence withheld, questions avoided by using ‘legal advice’ as a means of not answering difficult incriminating enquiries. Failure to appear before the committee by Murrell on the grounds he might incriminate himself and god forfend his wife too. His WhatsApp messages showing collusion between himself and the COO withheld. Likewise a, WhatsApp group of the co-complainers. The shenanigans in trying to cover the truth has only made things worse and suspicions grow. Meetings denied, mutual knowledge of anything connected with Salmond within the Murrell household we are told to believe never happened or was even discussed.
Now we hear that all of Alec Salmond’s written evidence has been refused. The question of why is simple. It shows that the Party Leader is less than honest and that every last one involved in trying to imprison an innocent man are only interested in covering their tracks and avoiding imprisonment for conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. They have no interest in right and wrong or anyone else knowing the actual truth.
Corruption is not even hidden. It is there for us all to see. The problem is some just do not want to see the truth.
I could, of course, also reprise the NEC, the Party Conference and gerrymandering of the Holyrood Lists by the wokes. The selective videos and condemnation of alleged abuse because of the said woke faction. The GRA Bill the HCB. Humza calling peaceful demonstrators racists. MPs and MSPs blocking and attacking anyone that dares to criticise the dear leader in any way or publishes anything remotely critical.
Many of us are concerned that the party has become corrupted. Those of us, that have been printing the facts and truth have been attacked by a large section of the party faithful. Those, same people who for years, have demanded truthful reporting from the British Media are being shown to be hypocrites when it comes to the truth about the SNP.
I do not know how many social media, attacks I have taken or witnessed on fellow bloggers by our own so-called supporters. They are showing themselves to be no more honest than the Unionists. Wheesht for Indy is the cry. So many plead with us not to tell the truth. They want us to only write positive SNP stories. Someone suggested to me yesterday ‘to make something up that painted SNP and Sturgeon in a good light! How about the theory for fusion instead?
I am not as pure as the driven snow however I refuse to become what I despise about our opponents. I am saddened that the SNP has become the mirror image of what we set out to destroy. The truth is we are no longer the party of pre 2014. The present party has become corrupted. The leadership is focused on matters non independence. The leader has made two videos in past months defending GRA zealots. She has made no videos defending those like Joanna, Cherry and Joan McAlpine that are defending Women’s Rights. She has also not made a single video about independence.
Sturgeon sides with the GRA, zealots that have corrupted the party throughout. From the NEC to List selections, a tiny faction of single issue zealots has stolen the party of Independence. It has been turned into a biology denying gender centric party instead. This has all happened during the watch of Sturgeon and her husband Murrell.
That pro independence bloggers, are seen as a bigger enemy than those that write for the foreign owned press is just how badly our movement has been infiltrated.
Many are saying, oh just be quiet we are so close! Ignore the corruption, the bias, the eroding of rights. Wait till after independence and we can sort it then. Sorry, I cannot sit back and say nothing as the party and movement I have spent my entire life supporting is destroyed by flawed individuals. This will not make me popular in some circles. I don’t care it is now obvious to me that Nicola, Sturgeon has become the biggest obstacle to Scottish Independence we face.
I hold her and her husband as the biggest problems. I do keep my contempt though for those elected MSPs, MPs that sit idly by watching this all unfolding. £73,000 a year it seems can buy a lot silence. There are a, few honest voices in their ranks you can now see them sitting on the back benches, sidelined but hopefully not silenced. They are the only people that can now stop this destruction of the SNP and YES Movement. If they fail to act then, I see a long road ahead that many of us will not complete. Independence has never been further away. Those that have bought into the 11 Point Plan as a deliverance will be sadly disappointed when Boris says no! There is no credible Plan B. In May a vote for the SNP is a vote for Gender Politics, it is not a vote for independence.
I agree entirely Rodney with everything you write here, hence why I will not be complicit in voting for CORRUPTION, I can not vote for the SNP & help put Sturgeon back into destroy even more of us as a country & the party that we have built up to free us of the corrupt UNION we were dragged screaming into..
Right now I see NO difference between what the SNP party under her leadership has become to that of the party under the Buffoon & far right wingers in WM.. I think the British want to damage the current SNP leadership but still find it useful to keep them fearfully in place applying the brakes to Independence with dirty manoeuvres and unpopular policies. Not sure if they will manage. A lot hinges on James Hamilton’s report. I think he’s an intelligent, honest man not beholden to any faction and with a reputation to loose if he whitewashes. We’ll find out soon.
There is not a single word in this article that I disagree with, nor a single emotion that I see beneath it that I have not felt myself. I have myself been warning of Sturgeons complicity in the anti- independence movement since shortly after her coronation. Not in any way in such eloquent terms as people like Barrhead Boy. With you 100% on this. I can’t even look in that woman’s direction anymore. Sad, but that’s how it is, and I think they will manage to survive this and keep the can kicking going for a long time. Someone elsewhere claimed she had been tricked by the state forces and was also a victim of this plot. The simple answer to that is that she can stand up and be counted at any time, throw Evans et all under a bus and reclaim the high ground. I will not hold my breath.

As a female independista, I been been put in the position of having to sacrifice either independence or my human rights: if I use my votes to help the SNP to power, I know they will push through the GRA Reform and Hate Crime Bills and I will have betrayed the generations of young females coming up; if I don’t use my votes for the SNP, I will have betrayed independence and the party of which I was so proud for so long. In the end, I will probably vote SNP in the Constituency vote and ISP in the List vote. My SNP Candidate is, personally, a very sound and decent man and I have no wish to know whether he is a pseudo ‘wokie’, but I hope not, for his own sake, because he will not survive when the tide turns, as it will. I have not yet joined the ISP, although I might well do. At the moment, I feel too sick at heart to join any party again.
Feel exactly the same Lorna – and in the position of having one of the “good guy” stand in my constituency and, therefore, torn about what to do, Mnd you – now that she is being removed from first place on the list, my second vote is sure to go elsewhere. I think I’ve accepted that we will not get indy in my lifetime so I can put the placards, the flags and the marching shoes away and go back to far more relaxing pastimes.

Nothing to disagree with there, Roddy. An overarching factor in the whole, deeply corrupt and embarrassing farrago is that Scotland, effectively a colony of England, has long-since been governed by whomsoever London chose to appoint. Over many years, this fact of colonial expediency has produced a powerful, inter-connected unelected bloc in Scotland, harmlessly referred to as: the Scottish establishment. That the current leadership of the S.N.P. has become part-and-parcel of that long-since corrupted, self seeking establishment seems clear enough. When, for example, the party of independence employs a neo-liberal banker and consummate establishment-insider, to write its post-independence economic policy—an individual who also jobs for the Duke of Buccleugh—it strongly suggest to me, at any rate, that the party of independence has, along with its leadership, become something absolutely other than what it purports to be.
The more I read about Alex trail the more I’m frustrated with the fact that the SNP were involved in fabricating the case against him.
As much as I’d like to do as Mary plans on doing and voting for an independent (if one was standing on my area) I don’t believe wasting my vote at this point in the independence journey is worth it.

Yes voters are a captive electorate and the SNP know it. We’ve nowhere else to go, at least on the constituency vote. However, I cannot in all conscience be party to voting that woman into another 5 years of shelving what’s important to us to pursue that science-defying nonsense that’s so important to her.

As a son, a husband and proud father of a feminist daughter I have absolutely no problem with women.
My daughters partner identifies as non binary and I have a niece who though born as a biological male has lived as a female for eight years, the last four with her boyfriend.
You would deny them the right to live their lives as they wish because in your eyes they pose a threat to women’s rights.

It’s nothing to do with empathy for others. It is about the false narrative being portrayed by people that a) sex is mutable, b) there is a “gendered soul”, and c) protecting women is “erasing” a few men who want the few benefits attached to being a woman without actually committing to anything.
a) Firstly, SEX IS NOT MUTABLE!! It makes no more sense to say a person can change sex than to say they can change species. Every cell in the body has exactly the same sex chromosomes, and they are the same at death as they were at conception.
b) The notion that people can be “born into the wrong body” is the worst sort of mind/body dualism. There is no negligent stork dropping off “female souls” into male bodies, or the other way around. There are, however, negligent parents who are encouraging their children to think that they are in the “wrong body” because they don’t fit with gender stereotypes or show signs of being same-sex attracted. If there is any erasure going on, it is of homosexual people.
c) Hardly anyone has any problem with trans people who make their decision and commit. Your niece sounds as if she may have done this for a while, and I doubt anyone cared much. However, the men who want to self-ID (i.e. not commit) are dangerous to women. They are appropriating a term that doesn’t belong to them, and which women have fought to have recognised as protected for a long time. They mock womanhood by indulging their stereotypical ideas about what women are. Some are autogynephiliacs, and get a kick out of making people treat them as women (hence the utterly disgusting idea that a lesbian shouldn’t be able to not have sex with a self-identifing woman with a penis without being labelled “a TERF”). Men claiming to be women want to be able to enter spaces where women are protected from men – women’s shelters, rape counselling, toilets and changing rooms – and to take jobs from women.
Trans-sexuals and transvestites have been with us for a long time. There is no hate for them amongst the general population. The problem we have at the moment is that, for some reason, people have come to believe that not conforming to a particular stereotype or sexuality means that they are in the wrong body. This is utter nonsense. By all means, let’s question the power of stereotypes, and address the hidden prejudice about homosexuality. However, reality should not be a victim of these debates.

Alan, I understand where you are coming from because I also, several years back, believed it was all about giving trans people human rights. How could anyone who purports to be a liberal person gainsay that? However, both BB and I are coming from that stance to one of sheer disbelief at the naivety of so many people. The issue with trans rights versus women’s rights has absolutely nothing to do with not recognising that people are different, that we have to accept them as they wish to be. No problem there. Both the 2004 GRA and the 2010 Equality Acts already gives them all their rights – and more. The 2004 GRA is now obsolete since same-sex marriage legislation came in. How can you reform an obsolete Act which should no even be on the statute book now?
However, in order to afford trans people, particularly trans women, all they want cannot do other than oust natal women from their safe spaces and rights. It will be a slow, creeping movement, but that will be the end result. The real tragedy is that women themselves will remove themselves from their own spaces because they are afraid of male-bodied men in frocks, fear being injured by them in sports, know they will be pushed out of any job that is not a low paid, caring/cleaning type job. No trans man is going to challenge natal males at sports, in their own spaces, for very obvious reasons. You simply cannot compare the two.
I’m sorry, but trans people need to campaign as trans people and gain their own spaces. Please explain to me what gives trans women the right to expect natal women to give up their sex-based spaces and rights to them? Oh, but it’s about sharing, they say. Well, there are many cases now of so-called trans women carrying out sexual attacks on natal women in prisons, in shelters, etc. right across the West where this ideology has taken root. Here, in Scotland, let’s take the man who lied and cheated his way into a Rape Crisis Centre: did he infiltrate himself as a volunteer, full of compassion for the women raped and sexually assaulted by natal males?
Well, it is at least questionable, because he made a bee-line for the 30+grand pay for the manager of the centre. Never mind that a woman on her own with three kids could have made a career out of that job which, let’s be honest, a man could not have an inkling about unless he has been sexually assaulted himself, and there is no record of that that I know of. This will happen everywhere: in the sports field, especially where scholarships and grants for sport are concerned; in women’s prizes and arts bursaries and scholarships; in women’s higher-paid jobs everywhere, where no actual menial work has to be undertaken – because, let’s face out, that’s women’s work. I’ve never heard of any trans woman knocking women out of the way to scrub floors for a living. No, they all want to be the chiefs, not Indians, or they want to look like hookers. It is make fantasy gone mad, pulling itself out of the porn sites to settle physically on women, and it is, frankly, beneath contempt. We are already bent double trying to cope with what men expect women to be, which is probably why so many girls want to be men, so that they escape this pornification of our entire existence.
There is no solution at all except for trans people to butt out of women’s rights. Never before, in the history of human rights has one group tried to takeaway the human rights of another. It is unheard of, and unconscionable. I’m sorry that you don’t understand that because of your personal circumstances, but there is absolutely no reason why any trans person cannot live their life as they choose without having to intrude into women’s sex-based spaces and rights. None. I have a suggestion: as a man, why don’t you stand up and demand that men accept trans women as belonging on the male sexual spectrum?
The cost to Scotland of supporting this biological dead end, if it is allowed to continue, will be immense in wasted lives and talent, and in simmering resentment by ousted women which might well find a whole new outlet that will lead to actions that will not suit anyone else, believe me. To even contemplate taking away over half the population’s human rights to hand them to people who already have all their human rights, is so out there, it is beyond parody.

You have certainly given me some food for thought and as I have a number of friends and family who are impacted by gender issues I shall look further into some of the points you’ve raised and discuss it at length with them.

One thing that has occurred to me while thinking over and rereading your post is that you are treating trans women as a threat to women’s rights but all of the threatening scenarios you mention wouldn’t be a trans woman putting yourself or others at risk it would be a man masquerading as a trans woman.
So the threat to women’s rights isn’t coming from trans women it’s coming from some men being bastards and let’s face it men like that will always find a way to be a bastard whether it’s dressing as a woman, joining a support group, using a uniform or religion to gain access to their victims.
And don’t for one moment think that those type of men would think twice about abusing a trans woman given the chance.
Just my thoughts on some of your points.
Alan: yes, it is not transitioned males who are the threat; I fully agree with that. I also accept that trans women have been using women’s toilets for some time, but to try and claim, as the trans lobby does, that there is no impact is for the birds. The point is that, for women, we WILL NOT KNOW, any more than you would know, who is and is not a sexual predator when self-ID becomes law. It simple cannot work the other way around with trans men (women).
I keep asking: why can’t trans people have their own third spaces? I always get the answer: because they require validation that they are women. Really? And is that women’s job, to validate men who are invading their hitherto safe spaces? Is it women’s place to validate the sex that has oppressed them, raped and beaten and killed them for millennia? Why is it a woman’s job to make a man feel better about himself?
Why should a girl be cheated out of her sports scholarship because a trans girl decides that she wants it when he/she could not have burst a paper bag in the boys’ league? Why should a trans woman take the jobs that have been women’s traditionally, in rape crisis shelters, which were campaigned for by women, designed by women, managed by women for women, and, initially, funded wholly by women through charitable works, but, and this is the real test, will not take the dirty jobs, the caring jobs, the low-paid jobs?
What is stopping the trans lobby, awash with cash – but calling for women’s funding to be cut if they question where we are going – from setting up similar services for trans women? Because they ARE women? So, a man can FEEL like a woman and BE a woman in natal women’s safe spaces and rights, and a woman can FEEL unsafe and BE unsafe in her own space? Who cares if she is killed or assaulted? She’s just a woman – and not even a real one. Oh, no, she is a mistake of nature, some of them claim. Only trans women are real women: that is, their brains are in the wrong body. That, Alan is what it boils down to. Anyone with a fully-functioning brain who believes there is not something very wrong in expecting women, oppressed for millennia because of their sex, not their gender, needs cognitive help.
Imagine you are a black person with a history of slavery and oppression behind you and you are applying for a job as a black professor in a black college and some white person who feels that he/she has a black brain in a white body comes along and demands that he/she is entitled to an interview based on that? Or, imagine that you are hoping to be a (black) student in that college, and that a white person comes along and takes the scholarship from in front of you on the basis that he/she feels black and is convinced he/she was born in the wrong body. Don’t you think that would be extremely, unforgivably insulting to a black person? Why is the similar argument not grossly insulting to women?
The point I am trying to make is: no matter how you slice and dice it, one group taking the human rights of another away is deplorable. What makes it even worse is when the person taking away the human rights is from a privileged group, such as males and whites, who have suffered no institutionalized oppression as a group. Within males and whites, there may be people, such as working class white males who have not been deal a fair hand, but neither would their female counterparts, who have a double penalty imposed on them, and for working class black people, it is worse again.
I honestly believe that there are genuine people who do suffer from feeling that they are not happy in their sex, or who are homosexual/lesbian, but the vast majority of those who are under the trans umbrella are sexual fetishists who are heterosexual men who get their rocks off living the lie that they are women because somewhere in their lives they have identified with women (as women) in sexual fantasies or they are men who have found it convenient because of crimes (usually sexual/violent, and against women and female children) to claim they are trans gender and have themselves put in a female prison where a) they have access to women; b) the regime is slightly less onerous and far less dangerous for them.
Fewer than ten per cent of trans gender claiming men are transitioned or will transition physically, or use hormones, but will retain their penises after self-ID, the majority very probably being heterosexual, sexual fetishists who get aroused at thinking about being women in some private, increasingly public, pornographic fantasy.
This ideology has captured the SNPG and has prevented independence from even being properly discussed in the past six years.

The examples of actual assaults you give are sufficient to make women feel justifiably unsafe allowing penises into their (your) safe spaces, and the violent comments posted by TRAs on social media compound this.

What I intended adding adding in my post above re: your fine piece, Roddy, is the fact that the Scottish main-stream-media have always been huge players and champions of the Scottish establishment. If anything, that same media has become even more virulent in recent times through its silence regarding the extent of high-corruption at the top of Scottish society. I realise the issue of the Scottish establishment, its power and influence, doesn’t register particularly highly in the concerns of most independinistas; may I respectfully suggest: it’s high-time it did.
Nicola Sturgeon must not in any way be considered a victim in this concerted action to defeat the truth from emerging. Well said. Its frustrating that having spent decades persuading family and friends to consider Independence and abandon Labour for the SNP at the ballot box would bring Independence to reality. I now have to contact them to admit my mistake and advise they follow my lead by either resigning from that party and or NEVER voting SNP again under its current incarnation. It really is a sad state of affairs and all of it of the SNP owns making. I must admit, as far as the enquiry goes, I wonder why are the other politicians going along with the exclusion of evidence or submissions, surely they have a say in this, a question that needs an answer. That does not take away from the impression that there has been an attempt to stitch up an innocent man by the leadership of the SNP and Scottish Government with the support of officials from a variety of departments. I will admit to not having a lot of faith in Nicola Sturgeon, I thought she was a decent First Minister but never thought she was a good leader of the party or the wider independence movement per say. I was also a member of the party until around the start of 2016 but resigned membership when it became clear that power was being consolidated with the leadership and I was also against AWS. Since then we have seen more consolidation of power, policies like GRA and the Hate Bill that appear to be only wanted right now by the leadership and a tiny minority of vested interests and not the wider voting public. We had the whole Scotland will not be taken out of the EU against it’s will that made Blackford look like a diddy, we have had the SNP trying to save England from itself, the huge mistake to agree to a GE that all indications showed that the Tories would win a majority. Independence had been placed on the back burner and now we have SNP politicians attacking their own colleagues and the wider yes community who vote for the SNP. All of this makes it so hard to not think the SNP has been infiltrated by entryists and / or led by complete incompetents. I have also been accused of many thing recently for blogging my opinion that not all was right and that truth matters, morals matter, decency matter, that I should shut up and accept things as they are for indy, even if that means re-electing the current leadership which I just don’t know if I can. I am at the point where I believe the Murrells have to go for the sake of independence and should go for the sake of the SNP (although I have no say in that now) even if it means one of the cult takes her place but either way I think Nicola Sturgeon is now a barrier to independence and I don’t accept that she is the reason for the increase in the potential yes vote. EVERY politician is compromised – it is the essence of the job. The escape is to be as uncompromised as possible, while still accepting that compromise is the name of the game. We have watched the US for the past 4-5 Trump years, and many years before, under threat of complete compromise. The new Democratic government is rife with compromise, with cheques from interested donors, etc. – it is the nature of political compromise. Scotland is not uncorrupt – and this episode with Salmond being cleared and then the subsequent revelation of cover-up seems especially corrupt. But it is NOT unusual – I am NOT condoning it – I am saying it is in the nature of politics. The other thing that is natural in a reasonably governed country like Scotland is that most of the time most of its people are NOT reading the fine lines of policy and corruption – most of us aren’t stupid, but we’re not politicians – that’s not our day job. We expect our politicians to deliver – and right now, that means help with Covid, help with return to school and job and seeing granny and giving her a hug, and INDEPENDENCE for at least 50% of folk. We need to get it above 50% – we need to get it to at least 60% and we won’t get it above that number with open, vicious (albeit in many ways, completely justified) inner warfare. It’s not a ‘Hauld yer Wheesht’ moment – it’s a time to negotiate/settle a war truce in the face of a greater enemy. This has been done before in many histories – and it’s time to do so in ours, to attain our more immediate and vital goal.

Roddy, you say in your post that Salmonds submissions will not be considered by the Committee. Is this all of them or just the one on the Ministerial Code or some of them. If it is them all have the Committee formally said that or do you just have inside knowledge or something.

I am led to believe that the entire written submission he made to the Fabiani Inquiry will be disbarred.It can only be on the grounds that is will incriminate Nicola Sturgeon and the highest echelons of the SNP.
I think it’s just the James Hamilton submission – Alex Salmond gave it to the committee too – the one that has problems with how many redactions it needs. All his other submissions to the enquiry should still be getting considered – it just hobbles how much he can say about events if he’s not allowed to refer to it,,, though if he’s asked a question on it, and the submission has already previously been published, I can’t see how he can be prosecuted if he verbally gives the same info as what happens to be in the submission,,, if that makes sense,,,
One point that Alex raised, that the James Hamilton inquiry had originally been given the remit by the SG to investigate if the FM interfered with a civil service procedure and so broke the ministerial code,,, the thing is, it’s the other way round – if the process was being handled unlawfully and she DIDN’T interfere, then she WOULD have broken the ministerial code. The original remit was a bogey.
The Procedure itself can’t have been lawful, as far as I can see, but also, in the handling the complaints – the actual way the procedure was used – was in no way lawful – I think ‘unfair’ and ‘tainted by apparent bias’ is the understatement of the century, just from what I’ve read so far. We also know, from Alex’s testimony, that NS was fully aware of the status of the process on the 2nd of April 2018 – well before it was complete – so she SHOULD have intervened if she’d been following the ministerial code.

1. You are spot on re your comments on the remit for Hamilton. Sturgeon should have intervened to stop the Scotgov acting unlawfully but the remit written by NOT SO HONEST John Swinney Chief Cover Up Man worded it to try to get Sturgeon off the hook.
2. My understanding was like you contrary that it was just Salmonds submission re the Ministerial code that was being given the cold shoulder. That of course is just silly as the Spectator published it as did Wings. So any member of the public can actually read his Ministerial Code submission but Salmond cannot refer to it in his appearance on Tuesday. FARCICAL. Of course we do not know what other submissions the Committee may be sitting on and not publishing either from Salmond or others. No wonder it is rumoured that Salmond may cancel attendance on Tuesday. Geoff Aberdein’s testimony is another that we know has not been published and will not be published by the Committee.
3. Murrell now being forced to attend a hastily arranged Inquiry meeting on Monday at 9am. I’m guessing they didn’t want to risk Salmond and Murrell bumping in to each other on the Tuesday next week in case it turned into something out of WWF.😀😀😀

Right now, Alan, I don’t think there is one. It would be nice to think that the ISP are a viable alternative but the reality is that, outside of those of us who are political wonks, nobody knows who they are. And, while I am among those who are completed scunnered by the SNP, I’m yet to be convinced by the ISP either. In 2014 (just before I joined the SNP – I left again in 2016 because I didn’t like the way the party was heading) I said that someone needed to start another pro-independence party to cater to those who the SNP didn’t suit, but it didn’t happen. Now is too little too late. But, if you vote SNP now (under it’s present leadership) you are voting for corruption without even the hope of bringing Independence any further forward. But, if you don’t vote SNP the unionists will control Holyrood & that may spell the end of peaceful, political Independence in our lifetime… What to do? ’tis a real dilemma & one I’m struggling with right now. I had an in depth conversation with my daughter and her partner today about your comments and she dismantled ever argument you put forward in such a way that I was left feeling my opinion on gender ight still very much holds water.
As for my neice, I have no idea if she was homosexual before beginning her transition to a woman but she was always very feminine from a young age.
