While all eyes were on The Hague and Gaza a lot was happening in Scotland and in our imperial oppressors Westminster Parliament. Last week the programme covered the Scotland Self-Determination Bill’s demise at the hands of the British Labour Party. This week our First Minister and leader of the SNP decided to write a cap in hand sycophantic letter to the English leader of the Labour Party. In this note he said he was looking for common ground between British Labour Party and SNP on specific topics if Sir Keir becomes the next English Prime Minister.
Our Humza is proving himself a modern day Scottish Uriah Heap! The panel of Lloyd Quinan , Eva Comrie and Phil Boswell give their views on this latest pleading act of the SNP in trying to enhance devolution, not advance independence! (Our own Yvonne Ridley due to car troubles only joined us after this discussion.)
To add to the distrust of the present day SNP by so many independence supporters Ian Blackford decided to throw more fuel on the fire by declaring that the SNP should abandon its objections to seats in the House of Lords. Well, they gave pretty much abandoned every other tenet of the party, so why not this too? Again our panel is very forthright with their opinions on this topic.
We noted that the Scottish Government rolled over on the legal expenses claim for the Section 35 fiasco and ask how much more will the Scottish tax payers have to fork out on failed SNP/Greens initiatives and idiotic policies?
Out of the left field this week, Humza made an extraordinary criticism of Belarus. We ask why this and why now?
Other topics covered are, Liz Lloyd and Humza Yousaf at the Covid Inquiry. The ERRC industrial tribunal and the UK Governments sneaky plan to socialise the water companies gigantic losses in England and Wales while protecting the Directors from all responsibilities and liabilities, shareholders and city institutions similarly. Remember 8.9% of these huge losses will be dumped on Scotland.

My post from elsewhere on social media, which I hope you will accept, as information related to the Declaration initiative – reads:
19 letters, one to the Secretary General of the UN (enclosing just short of 500 signed Declarations of Sovereign Scots), and 18 to UN Members worldwide, each contained this paragraph: ‘ … during the UK Supreme Court hearing, this statement was made and is recorded on behalf of the UK by the UK Advocate General: ‘The Advocate General does not dispute that the United Kingdom recognises and respects the right of self-determination in international law.”
In the absence of a Referendum – how important is the right of self-determination to regain Scotland’s independence? We now know it is a right that the UK does NOT dispute! If they concede – legally – we can use it – what about other countries?
These are extracts from the 18 letters to UN Members worldwide – every one of which sought and gained their independence from the UK – this is what I said and the questions I asked them.

This letter, and that to the Secretary General are dated the 25th of January, which is the date upon which a celebration is held to mark the birthday of Scotland’s National Poet, Robert Burns, a celebration held not just in Scotland, but in many countries worldwide.
In a poem written by Burns these lines appear: ‘O wad some power the giftie gie us – To see oorsels as ithers see us! ‘
Each of the UN Members receiving these letters are being invited to form their view on the right of ALL peoples to self-determination.
Does that right accrue to the people of Scotland?
Is it in accord with the statement from the UK Advocate General as noted above?
Or are there reasons which you believe deny that right to the people of Scotland?
Perhaps, as you consider those questions, I might also ask you to consider the independence of your own country and how it was achieved? Was it achieved entirely peacefully?
The Declaration of a Sovereign Scot initiative is a process to regain the independence of Scotland, one of the oldest countries in the world, entirely peacefully, and through the democratic consent of its people who choose to exercise their right to self-determination.
