We also want to know why John Swinney rushes to call a Convention for a perceived threat to UK politics but has no intention of calling for a Scottish Constitutional Convention to advance the cause of Scottish Independence?
It is also the week where Swinney informed the nation that he intends to lead the SNP into the 2031 Holyrood devolved election.So I guess Scotland can forget the notion of the SNP pressing for Scotland’s independence if they should win the 2026 election!
We also had the spectacle of Swinney and several other SNP senior personnel parroting British Foreign policy over Ukraine.What happened to the neutrality of the party and movement that had existed from 1934 till the arrival of Sturgeon as leader?
It seems every week the SNP becomes more of a British political party rather than a radical party of self-determination.
Meanwhile, we have Scots born English Nationalist Ana’s Sarwar telling us even if independence parties win the 2026 Holyrood Election that he and his London bosses will not allow independence!
Swinney is willing to sit down with the likes of Sarwar and other Brits over the rise of Reform in British politics but will not sit down with Colette Walker, Kenny Macaskill/Ash Regan or Sara Sayers to discuss Scotland’s freedom.
In the week where the chances of peace breaking out in Ukraine look to have increased we have the unedifying sight of not just Scottish independence supporters but all of the British establishment pushing for the war and killing in Ukraine to continue.Whatever happened to the peace makers?

This is just another case of deflection, distraction and diversion on the part of our First Minion and his colonial administration.
It is an admission that he and his party have no idea of how, nor inclination, to pursue the restoration of this country’s independent statehood.
On the contrary Swinney prefers to collaborate with parties based in the country of our oppressors in order to try to make Farage/Reform the common bogeymen as he clearly sees it as the only way that he and his party of incompetents and quislings can cling to office in Scotland.

Yes Kate, the second city of the Empire had slums where people lived in atrocious conditions. Cold overcrowded houses. Families in single ends, outside toilets, no baths. no hot water.
That was the way people lived in the 60s and 70s.
And today, a modern version of deprivation for many. Cold houses, shortage of food, struggling to make ends meet, brutal lack of opportunity.
But I’m alright Jack or so many think. But the wake up is coming. Just look around.
And yes, we are going to war. The drums beat. Boots on the ground. Planes in the air.
But of course, we have had boots on the ground. Special forces, satelite listening deployed or some quite considerable time now. That’s not peacekeeping, never will be, and Britain know it.
No matter what one might think of Trump he knows its a proxy war that can’t be won. And so he’s out, wants the war stopped, and a big bit of pie if he can.
Quite the opposite from Starmer who is going to bleed, and I mean bleed Great Britain dry in what could be a huge European conflagration.
Ah well, if that’s what we want, or told we want, at least we can take pride in the misery to come. Stopping the war, cutting a deal. Get Europe working again, or devastation. Who knows?
