Your courage and resolve in the face of relentless Westminster resistance have sent an unmistakable message: Scotland’s future must be decided by the Scottish people, not by a distant Parliament that consistently denies us the tools to build a fairer society.Despite a clear pro-independence majority, Westminster’s repeated refusal to grant a Section 30 order represents a fundamental denial of Scotland’s sovereign right to choose.
The people of Scotland are sovereign. We are one of the richest nations on earth in natural wealth – energy, renewables, fisheries, tourism, and human talent – yet our people see too little benefit while decisions are made elsewhere.Only independence gives us the power to use Scotland’s resources for Scotland’s people.
With full control over our economy, we can build a fairer system: lower energy costs for Scottish households, make investment in affordable housing, and targeted support to ease the daily pressures that Westminster has failed to address.
The cost of living crisis will not be solved by more devolution crumbs or broken promises from London. Indeed, our sovereignty has been ignored for way too long. Not by England who simply state they don’t want or will not allow (despite fact they have no authority to actually deny its exercise) but by our very own representatives from the delegates we send to WM to the admin and councillors at Holyrood and local councils. Their actions subjugate Scotland to England on a daily basis. Even now, John Swinney and his party reps, continue to do so. Upon winning a majority in Holyrood he should have asserted Scots sovereign authority instead we awaited English gov phone call and agreed to meet to discuss mere economic policy. No doubt to discuss what crumbs English gov will toss our way if he asks nicely enough. What a national embarrassment. Sadly, I don’t think anything will change until the Scots start holding ours fully to account and get angry enough to demand their rights be upheld no it’s, buts or maybes.
I always hope to be proven wrong but well, as they say, start as you mean to go on. And his start was to call a meeting with the English political parties and await English gov’s phone call. Subjugation being his first instinct not the assertion of Scots sovereign authority. That says it all.
The Scottish independence movement needs to turn the regional list vote at every future Holyrood election into a defacto referendum on Scottish independence. For this strategy to succeed, it needs to be publicised as widely as possible at every opportunity from now until the next Holyrood election.
Given an opportunity to vote for independence, the many hundreds of thousands of independence supporters that have abstained at recent elections might be motivated to turn out and vote. It might also motivate the hundreds of thousands who cast both votes SNP to vote for independence, not party.
Many years ago, I argued in various independence forums that Scotland needs two separate pro-independence political parties. The primary objective of one should be to run the devolved government as competently as possible without being distracted by campaigning for independence. The sole objective of the other should be to win Scottish independence, without being distracted by having to run the devolved government.
One should stand for the constituencies, but not the regional lists, at Holyrood. It should not stand for election to Westminster. The other should stand on the regional lists for Holyrood, but not the constituencies, and should stand for election to Westminster, where it could, amongst other things, use Short money and the resources of the House of Commons Library to help build the case for independence. Two parties. Two separate objectives.
By adopting this strategy, an independence super-majority at Holyrood would be almost guaranteed, given current support for independence. Instead, we currently have an independence movement that is dreadfully fractured and couldn’t agree on the colour of sh1t.

May I take this opportunity to congratulate every candidate that stood to be elected, You may not know that you have helped enormously in the mission that I was on, Scotland for Independence. Blair to the Hague, YES, or Blair to walk away Scot Free, NO. Your Choice. There were 4,320,981 confirmed legal to vote on the Register, there was 4,320,981 votes cast 100%, there was no spoilt papers and 4,320,981 said YES. Now to get Blair there we had to have a vote on that also there were 4,320,981 votes cast, there were 2,298,714, YES and 2,022,267, NO, 53.7% Yes, 46.3% NO, Well there you have it. All of the information has been sent to Sir Keir Starmer PM, now we wait and see whether we are Better Together, Scotland, England, Wales and North Ireland all as Independent Nations. Who said you loose if you divide and conquer, that is how you win, not stay in a huddle.
Is there a plan to take our Country’s case to European Court of Human Rights or to UN (I know Salvo have been making some progress on this)?
In tandem we could always give our well fed/well paid, non unionist politicians a kick in the derrière

As far as I last heard and currently understand, the next UN scheduled events relating to the committee which decides about Non Self Governing Territories are due to be held on monday, tuesday and wednesday 25,26,27 May. [1]
