Another good podcast with an another interesting guest, I’m so glad I stumbled on this blog.
I have a question that got touched on in the podcast but didn’t get expanded on in a way it think it should have. You have convinced me that the best vote is SNP for the Constituency and to vote for another pro-independence party on the List. You punt for the ISP, which is a fair enough stance for you take, but what if the AFI does actually get off the ground fast enough for the May elections? Then we do have a risk of splitting a pro-indy vote on the List between ISP and AFI. What would you do in that situation to try not to cause the pro-indy vote on the List from being split? How do we deal with that if that problem does manifest? Would such a split vote cause problems in effectively just letting more unionists in again?
A simple answer would be to simply point at the regional lists and ask “how many unionists parties are splitting the vote, and how badly does it hurt them?” The fact is that more indy parties may actually be beneficial.
