  • enjoyed the blog today guys just a pity you never got to discuss the fact the SNP are not going to allow a debate for a plan B at the next conference 🙁 unbelievable

  • As always an interesting take on matters of importance to the people of Scotand and their supporters abroad.
The cynic in me, and aye its well ensconced by the way tells me that 3million to the media is no bad as protection money goes, especially if it is getting you a result. Keep the good work up, it will pay dividends.

  • Really good stuff, BB, but I was just a wee bit disappointed to hear Jason Michael speak of accusations by those opposed to GRA reform about paedophilia, etc. in the trans movement. In Nazi Germany, the first group to feel the grip of Nazi authoritarianism were women, whose options were very quickly reduced to ‘Kirche, Kuche und Kinder’ – church, kitchen and children – with medals being dished out for those who produced large families for the Reich. Women had no other function, except as sex slaves.

Intellectuals soon followed, especially Jewish intellectuals, then so-called ‘sexual deviants’ (homosexuals, mainly), and so on. It was women who were raped en masse in East Germany and Berlin at the close of the war, from very young girls of seven or eight to elderly ladies, and the details are mind-numbingly sickening. The war on women never, ever stops, and that is our reality. We can never afford to let down our guard, without being overly panicky, and, if Jason Michael doesn’t understand that, I’m sorry.

I can understand just how difficult it is for men, who are not immediately in the firing line, yet, to get their heads round the fact that a section of the male population are telling us that their definition of womanhood trumps ours. Like so many women, I was a natural ally of trans women until I began to bone up on the movement. Yes, there are trans people who wouldn’t harm a fly, who just want a peaceful life free from hassle, and they can do that by being trans and standing up for their own rights, but a substantial part of the more extreme element of the trans lobby is deeply misogynistic and psychiatrists and psychologists have identified less than salubrious sexual motivations for ‘being women’, and, having read a lot of testimony from so-called ‘trans widows’, compassion and a two-way process are missing from the narcissism of so many of these men.

The other side of it is that women will simply be shoved out of all public life. We fought for our rights precisely because we were shut out of public life, and the results of this legislation will be the elimination of women from society because trans women will start – slowly at first, but gathering pace – to colonize every aspect of our lives. This is going to happen, probably within one generation, and the ‘hate crime’ legislation will enable that to happen, which is why it was coupled with the GRA reform. They knew perfectly well that neither of these policies would be acceptable, so they hoped to push them through under the radar. These people are monsters and they are carrying out a social experiment on society that is going to backfire spectacularly, but not in time to save our daughters and granddaughters.

As for Nicola Sturgeon, she is utterly intransigent. I very much doubt that she had or has the slightest intention of taking us to independence. That is not the legacy she wants to leave. She truly scares me now, and the coterie around her are even scarier.

    • Oh Lorna, so very well said! My friend was in a relationship with just such a man for 18 months. He abused her for all of that time and she is left with permanent scars. Both her and I were allies of trans women too but now, whilst I wish none of them any ill, I no longer am supportive.

  • Some people want the little house of the prairie. I want a new leader and a clean out at the top in order to get back n track.

  • Excellent programme today Roddy. Having Iain and Jason on together really introduced thought provoking ideas. I have always thought it would be good to have a bloggers discussion programme; how about a “Meet the Bloggers” segment every month, maybe with Grousebeater and Stu Campbell.

  • Interesting discussion – disappointed you deemed it necessary to slate your local yes group (which is a small but very active one).

    • I didn’t slate them I pointed out the viscious personal attacks I have received from the local Yes Group in my area which acts more like an SNP defence league than a YES Group. I have received the personal attacks not handed them out. The attacks are for daring to bring the truth to the YES Movement. That truth is not always welcomed as this podcast highlighted. The messengers keep getting shot and those that are actually holding back independence get off scot-free. Your snidey comment here is yet further confirmation.

      • BB: I agree with you. Some people seem almost brainwashed into believing that independence is just a breath away. Part of me feels very sorry for them because they are going to be crushed by the reality. I do so hope I am wrong about it all, though, I really do. It is very uncomfortable to have a questioning mind, very painful, sometimes, but I was brought up to question things, so no choice, really. I envy the faithful their certainty of mind.

Really good show. I don’t think all you bloggers get the plaudits you all deserve for the work you do in the absence of a proper MSM.

      • You’ve received attacks from my Yes ‘group’! Really? Would you direct me to theses attacks please and I’ll ensure I seek answers from the ‘group’.

        • Well you must know what group just go and read and remove your prejudice before you do. Not just in the latest podcast post but last 7 or8 blogs too. It is by far the most abusive page around. As I said it behaves like an SNP defence page not a all encompassing YES Movement page.

  • Enjoyable podcast. Interesting hearing others views. When I joined the SNP post Sep 18 ‘14, yes I WAS late to politics but I was fully aware I’d not agree with them 100%; neither did/do I worship a craven image 😉 (Sorry Jason. 😉 I’m sure you didn’t mean to imply that we all fell into that category. At least I hope so.) I’ve become a tad disappointed in the SNP because of inaction on independence, and then GRA. I’ve not renewed my membership…. yet. I don’t enter into the ‘debates’ online because I personally need all the facts (legacy of having been in the Police/CID) before I can have an informed opinion to argue what I believe or don’t believe in. I find it sad (No, that’s not the correct word, it’s ‘concerning’) that bloggers are the focus of attention by the anti-independence machinations. Again we can’t agree with every single one or every single thing that’s written but you’re scaring the bejeezuzz out of ‘them’.
Missed last weeks Podcast (just been busy busy busy) but I’ll get it listened to asap. I like to give it my full attention and not multitask when yer on 🤭😬
    Keep on keeping on.

  • A great blog (sorry Scottish Prism) and brilliant to hear the TRUTH of where we are from the people on the front line, NO BIAS or protecting their party places just a dissection of touted facts, unfortunately the people who REFUSE to see the actuality are the very same people who will vote to keep the wrongdoers in POWER and will bitterly attempt to BLAME others when independence doesn’t happen, those OTHER people who are trying to educate and inform them of the DISASTER looming ahead for our independence

I fully concur with Lorna Campbell’s first comment in relation to Jeggit , the GRA and HCB are completely intertwined , deliberately designed to support each other and to render opposition from anyone ineffective and ILLEGAL, The future representation of real women in ANY sphere of Scottish Society has and is being sabotaged , and as a 69 year old MALE I cannot and WILL NOT vote for this abomination , I STAND UNITED with our womenfolk

  • A really good and honest podcast. One of the best if not best moments in it was circa 48 minutes when the inability or ineptitude or lack of balls or…playing the establishment role. Whichever, the SNP have utterly failed to “counter the English and Unionist MSM lies, misinformation” and as a result are complicit in the misleading and shameful propagandising of the Scottish public in there mishandling of this – covert or overt… Wasnt the MP Keith Brown given a role to address this? Looks like he did nothing. Yes, the SNP gradualists will roll out the “but..but..the MSM wont show it”. Crap excuse. If your determined and creative you will find and use a way. How many times are SNP MPs given a chance to be on a MSM interview? Plenty. They should be instructed to robustly and forcefully put across a point ie the subsidy myth, pensions, currency EU as clear as possible. Why havent these issues been given a clear and loud platform already considering they could trip us up AGAIN?? …will they ever be given the light of day??
