Listening now – absolutely brilliant and and spot on. I blame the lack of ability to debate on the culture that has allowed kids to get their own way for some time now. They have never learned to accept rejection or understand the word No. .Making them the centre of the universe and the complete affirmation of everything they do has made even the least capable far too over confident and so self assured that they stamp their feet like toddlers when they don’t get their own way, We need the sensible adults to take control again and to stop pandering to the histrionics of spoilt weans.
Keep up the good work guys.
Macaskill is pulling his punches because he has to. He is still a SNP MP. Barrhead boy is playing along because he cannae put Macaskill on the spot. But both of you know that Nicola Sturgeon has zero intention of leading the party and country to independence. Her sole focus is on retaining power and – because of her need to differentiate herself from Salmond and carve out her own base – she has doubled down on the transgender activists as her support base. She’ll drop indy 2 minutes after winning in May. So stop pussyfooting. Call her out! You know the fish rots from the head. Why have neither of you opened your mouths to call on her explicitly to express solidarity for a fellow MP faced with rape threats?? She is a disgrace.
Great Podcast. Loved the nostalgia and loved the obvious undiminished passion. Reminds me what the movement was all about.
We know that it’s all going/gone pear-shaped. Big question is how to we fix this?
We need Peter Murrell to go and for him to take all the (appointed?) affiliate groups with him.
How do we do that?
Nicola Stugeon has lost the plot with the GRA reform. Not in the manifesto and a definite vote loser. Why have’nt MSP’s told her? And then we’ve had Blackford actually tweeting Transwomen are Real Women. I despair I really do.
All I’ve got is my vote and I’ll be using it accordingly.
An interesting discussion on the woes currently facing the SNP in terms of its relationship with the grass roots Independence seeking members. Excellent insight by Kenny of the creeping changes being imposed on civic society by the the encroaching Tory old boys network of whom there are many.
The current gerrymandering of the party constitution and list candidates by influences not democratically elected will continue to strangle the efforts of the genuine party members to progress Independence, more so the fact that this activity would appear to enjoy the tacit approval of the leadership under the Murrell partnership.
Malfeascance as you correctly alluded to Roddy is at the heart of all that is wrong within the structures of the party and as a consequence has led to the attempted persecution of prominent party members adjudged to being not engaged with the grand plan. The employment of Scottish Government legal assets to accomplish this project must surely encroach the borders of criminality in any fair and just society.
I find it near impossible to believe that there is no organised dissent coming from, in particular, the women MSPs and MPs in regard to the appalling abuse being meted out to Joanna Cherry and Joan McAlpine from within the party and we have yet to hear from Nicola Sturgeon any concern or condemnation of those malicious acts.
Each and every prospective Holyrood candidate and every elected representative of the SNP must be smoked
out and be made disown this appalling breach of power and human decency otherwise how are we to progress to an Independent Scotland free from government corruption. Truth and Alex Salmond were the first to be put to the sword if we do not act now who will be next?
I hope you will permit me to park my reply to Mia on Wings.
Yes. In principle this is exactly the same as they did to Anglia Television plc.
The role played here by Ms Sturgeon’s special advisor/chief of staff is identical to the role played here by the Managing Director.
There, they installed a new Managing Director who was a phony, who’d never ten appointed by the Board.
He did all of the “butcher and bolt” that was required.
THEN they appointed him legally, after all the dirty work had got done, and made him a Director.
That way the Board of Directors was not responsible in law for what the phony director had done PRIOR to the appointment.
BUT surely his acts are not valid, and so can be reversed by law? you say.
Then you don’t know about the Companies Act 1985
285. Validity of acts of directors. The acts of a director or manager are valid notwithstanding any defect that may afterwards be discovered in his appointment or qualification; and this provision is not excluded by section 292(2) (void resolution to appoint).
Bingo! They Butchered us and bolted, and the people that opened the gate, and accepted legally binding commitments on our behalves, were not legally responsible for any of it. Trebles all round!
Except they got caught.

The phony director was Malcolm Wall. I was dismissed by Mr Wall on 24 May 1994
He was appointed at the Board meeting on 22 July 1994.
On that Board were Their Wonderfulnesses Lord Hollick and Lady Archer.
Fabulous Kenny. You speak of the Party I joined, not what we have now. As you say, people desperately need hope. We need more like you. Thank you and thank you Barrhead Boy.
Superb .. The SNP was an amazing party. Thanks for the stories. Great to hear the experiences that built it… and the key members with normality morality… people who want to remove food/heat/monetary poverty from other people’s lives… well… when they get sufficient power given to them… I am 100% sure they can deal with those issues… It’s not rocket science.. and fix the SNP too.

Seems like John Smith didn’t go along with it.
