As Scotland stands on the brink of the most decisive Holyrood election in a generation, the Alliance to Liberate Scotland today issues a stark warning to every voter who believes their nation deserves more than permanent Westminster servitude.
Twenty-seven years of devolution have not freed Scotland – they have shackled it. Holyrood remains a talking shop, powerless over the economy, energy policy, immigration, and the very future of our people.
Westminster pulls every string that matters while Scotland’s so-called “leaders” tinker at the edges, delivering endless promises and zero sovereignty.
The country is crying out for independence.
The polls show SNP majorities on the cards – yet without a thunderous list vote for the Alliance to Liberate Scotland, that “victory” will once again deliver nothing but the same old devolutionist paralysis.
Unionists and devolutionists are poised to flood Holyrood’s regional lists.
Labour, the Tories, Reform UK and the rest will hoover up proportional seats unless pro-independence voters act with surgical precision.
A vote for any other party on the list is a vote to hand power back to those who want Scotland managed, not liberated. It is a vote to keep us trapped in the devolution cage, begging London for crumbs while our NHS collapses, our bills soar, and our young people emigrate.
The Alliance to Liberate Scotland is not another party playing the devolution game. We are the independence party – full stop.
No hedging. No distractions. No sell-outs. Independence. Nothing else. Nothing less. That is our founding principle and our only demand.

Could you email me a leaflet so I can print a few and deliver them along my road? I can’t do many but I have written to my local paper and mentioned the Alliance so I hope there may be some votes.

Difficult to choose here. On the list (and immediately adjoining each other) we have Alliance to Liberate Scotland with rather an optimistic five list candidates competing with the ISP which perhaps more realistically has only one candidate, Allan Petrie, who of course used to be a regular on the Prism. We are somewhat spoiled for choice with 13 different parties and two independents.
In a constituency where the choice is SNP or one of five English unionist parties, the list vote is the only relief for an independence supporter. If voting SNP on the list is thought to be the stupidest thing an independence supporter could do, surely voting for an English party is even worse. How could anyone think that voting for a party whose only interest is another country is a good idea?
Unfortunately, over the last few years, a majority of Scottish voters have shown themselves stupid enough or unthinking enough to do just that. Will things change this time? The Alliance to Liberate Scotland will certainly get my vote, but with visibility only on the Internet they may suffer from the same problem as other small Scottish parties.
If they manage to get a a few MSPs, in itself a big ask, they may get enough publicity to get into people’s heads, but if that happens, the unionist media will either ignore them or suffocate them with negativity.
How can we change things? How can we turn a majority of don’t care into a majority of yes please. It happened in 2014, but then we had the ruling party in Scotland driving things forward. Now, there’s nobody in the Scottish Parliament interested in independence and opinion polls show a majority of voters are going to vote for English parties. I’m sorry BB, but I despair.
