My credo In life has always been, ‘everything in life is simple it is people that make it complicated’. I continue to see the proof of that every day. The latest manifestation of it is, the Covid spread. Science tells us that social distancing, wearing a mask, washing our hands and not being in big groups will slow down this vile disease till we can vaccinate against it. Sadly, especially in UK and US people have taken these simple facts and are ignoring them. Instead, they are using the virus for their own selfish aims. In Scotland it has resulted in the National Broadcaster and an MP from a foreign parliament politicising the daily public health briefings. They are literally playing politics with people’s lifes. We have also been told by the scientists that a vaccine will become available probably in the early part of next year. Between now and then the more we can lessen the spread of this horrible disease the better it will be for all of society. Covid attacks everyone, irrespective of their politics, social standing, post code or income.The spivs and speculators though have Christmas profiteering on their mind. There is a campaign growing, aided and abetted by our corrupt foreign government in London to dupe the people into having a ‘normal’ Christmas with all that entails. What they mean is they want to fill the cash registers in December and the cemeteries in January. The covid science is simple, the human greed is what makes it difficult!

Politics too is making what should be simple matters complicated. Scotland 313 years ago joined what we have been told is a voluntary joint union of equals. Reality, however, suggests otherwise and it seems Caledonia is locked into an English empire. Ever since that black day in 1707 many Scots throughout the centuries have been trying to reverse that sell out that is the Treaty of Union. Today more than at anytime since that fateful time the nation of Scotland is on the brink of reclaiming its sovereignty from its greedy, needy overpowering, narcissistic neighbour.

The road to that salvation lies open, once again though certain people want to complicate what should be a straightforward simple transfer of power. It would not be so complicated if it was only one partner in this uneven union that was trying to make a simple matter difficult. As you would expect the subsidy junkie in London is in full lie and deny mode. They are refusing to accept the democratic will of the Scottish people at the ballot box. Despite several mandates being given to the Scottish Government the London imperialists just refuse to recognise the Scottish people’s democratic votes.

This is compounded by the SNP Scottish Government that too just ignores the will of the people. Despite being given several mandates to act those representatives we entrusted with our will have chosen to ignore our pleadings. Instead of spending every moment since September 18/09/2014 in gaining Scotland its freedom the SNP have chosen to play at being big fish in a wee pond.They seem to enjoy devolution more than the act of revolution!

Despite being handed everything necessary to complete its raison d’etre the SNP has chosen to delay, derail and ignore the final steps in our journey. They have taken a simple matter of Scottish sovereignty and will and instead used that to fuel their own narrow desires. In the past 6 years gender politics and now gender denial seem to have overtaken independence as the number one priority. Brexit has ensured that a large majority of Scots now see that the union has run its course. Fourteen opinion polls since the Tory Westminster landslide in December 2019 have shown that up to 58% of Scots, new and old are ready to leave the union. Yet our political leaders want to delay the fateful day, yet again. One more mandate and sometime, maybe in the next parliamentary term we might get around to holding an Independence referendum. That, of course, is dependent on the English PM agreeing to give up the cash cow that fuels the corrupt Westminster crime syndicate! It is also dependent on England’s PM granting a Section 30 order.

All this complication when the way forward is just so simple. This week is probably one of the most important weeks in the history of our nation. It is without doubt the most important SNP National Conference ever. We know from members of the present NEC that independence has not even been discussed for the past 18 months by the forum. We know that a majority in the NEC are comfortable with devolution and that independence is not their priority. What this minority term Equality, the majority view as erosion of women’s rights. Our leadership shuns any discussion by the party members on the question of independence at Conference. Two attempts by prominent party members have been rejected by the NEC/Leadership. Questions on the famous ring fenced referendum funding go unanswered. Again Conference is denied the opportunity to question those involved, especially the CEO. There is to be no discussion on the contrived attack on the previous First Minister. An attack that has brought the party and government into disrepute and caused huge internal splits. Under this present leadership and NEC new Independence parties are springing up it seems daily. Everyone of these new parties has been set up by previous loyal hard working SNP members. They have been pushed into this because the present leadership ignores complaints and refuses to discuss or debate pressing matters with concerned members. They choose gender politics over independence politics.

This all has to stop! The solution is as always simple, only people can now make it complicated. Starting this coming weekend we need to elect a new NEC that represents the wishes and views of the vast majority of SNP members and supporters. Factional interests need ignored this side of Independence. Policies on gender and the discredited Hate Crime Bill need shelved. These matters divide us, with the Tory Internal Market Bill pending we need unity, not division.

When Nicola makes her big speech to the Party faithful, the message should be simple. She should confirm that everything else is on hold except independence. She should tell the English Prime Minister and the rest of his crime syndicate that May’s Holyrood Election will be an Independence plebiscite. This cannot be challenged as illegal and it is the democratic, legal voice of the people of Scotland. Even if the English imperialists and their House-Jock accomplices try to deny reality, it matters not a jot. We only need concern ourselves with what the rest of the democratic world accept. International recognition is the key to our freedom not a English Parliamentary Section 30.

Scotland has many more friends in the world than the English dominated media would ever admit. Likewise, they are not able to face up to the reality that Mother England doesn’t have the same appeal globally. Too many years of the brutal empire and arrogant tourism have put paid to that. The antics of the UK throughout the Brexit negotiations have displayed to the world Perfidious Albion in all its corrupt sleazy form.

We should not allow this opportunity to be squandered by a tiny sect within the YES Movement. This is the week when the ordinary SNP members must take back control of their party and the nations route to self-determination. Not since June 23, 1314 – June 24, 1314, has there been more important days in Scotland’s entire history. Act now or regret in leisure my fellow patriots!
