It seems after years of telling us that an independence referendum and victory was imminent Nicola Sturgeon this week admitted she knew she couldn’t deliver on that promise.She confessed this week she didn’t have the nous to advance the cause.”I couldn’t have done anything differently”, really? Our panel of Phil Boswell, Eva Comrie Allan Petrie and Lloyd Quinan give us several steps she could have taken if only she had not surrounded herself with sycophants and lobbydossers. Her inability to listen or take advice laid bare in her admission.
At Westminster Rachel from accounts was making huge commitments none of which were mentioned before July’s General Election. Although for the past decade the British Labour Party had been telling us that a third runway at Heathrow was a bad idea for the environment, the finances of the country and for the people who live in and around Heathrow.It seems post election all those objections disappeared, they have now done a complete volte-face. Now that they are the government,and not the opposition it is suddenly a great idea and will benefit the entire country. Politicians and hypocrisy are bedmates.Indeed, Rachel from accounts told us that Scotch whisky and Scottish salmon would benefit greatly from being exported via Heathrow more than say from Prestwick.Then the export value, of course, can be credited to London side of the ledger, not Scotland’s side.
She had no money to save Grangemouth and told us that the refinery jobs in Teeside were more important. Scottish jobs? Bah humbug! England, that has no oil, now gets all of Scotland’s oil to refine. Those broad UK shoulders in action, better together or what!
Mr Ratcliffe of Ineos infamy who has already received £600 million in grants from UK government to close Grangemouth and open a new refinery in Belguim is again to be a beneficiary of Labour generosity. The refurbishment/rebuild of Manchester United’s Old Trafford is to get special government aid.Amazing what English politicians find as of worth and what is not. England’s priorities are never Scotland’s priorities.Scotland’s priorities are of no interest to the English rulers ever.
Does anyone remember hearing Rachel or Anas or Sir Keir talking about these initiatives pre-election? No, nor did we.
As if Scotland hasn’t been pillaged enough Honest John signed a deal with the City of London spivs over green finance and fintech. We have not been made privy to the details however, when have we ever had the best side of the bargain in any dealings with London?
Midweek we had two SNP stalwarts floating the idea of a coalition between the SNP and British Labour post Holyrood 2026. Stewart Mcdonald the towel folder holiday rep went as far as to write an article for the hard-core unionist rag The Spectator extolling the virtues of such a sell out. Jean Freeman the ex-SNP Health Secretary expressed sympathy with an SNP/Labour pact in a Daily Record piece.
Isn’t it amazing how SNP leaders and senior members love deals with London and Unionist Parties but shun the very idea of any kind of coalition with fellow independence parties? It adds fuel to the growing belief that sadly, the SNP is no longer a party of independence!
That was compounded further with the news that to ensure the Scottish budget passed Swinney did a deal with the British Liberals promising that the SNP would not promote independence in any way through their budget.Cast aside your supposed raison d’etre to pass a devolved budget?
Meanwhile, just across the sea, Norway announced that their sovereign wealth fund had hit new record heights. It translates into the fact that every single Norwegian has the value of $315,000 to their name.This is due to the Norwegian government having total control over their own oil and economy.
We in Scotland have the square root of zero in an oil fund!Norway too gets all the value of its salmon exports as they do not fly their fish out of the Stockholm Arlanda airport in Sweden. The reason being simple, Norwegians do not have a parasitical foreign government stealing their resources and wealth, unlike us Scots.
An opinion poll out this week shows the Reform Party bring the most popular party in England and on course heading the next government PM Farage anyone?That is unless the Westminster cabal takes the same action as the German Bundestag is contemplating. There they are toying with the idea of banning the AFD a party of similar politics to Reform. You see,it breaks the city concensus in German politics. The Brits are not above similar action to protect the two-party gravy train.
We have seen in Romania where the EU maneuvered to annul the recent election of Calin Georgescou as President. He is known as anti-NATO and pro Russia, so the votes of the people had to be ignored. Now in May a gerrymandering poll will take place.
The ruling elites in the west actually detest democracy be it in Scotland, UK or EU the imperialists know best and their motto is simple, you can vote anyway you like as long as it is the way we like. We live in a kleptocracy not a democracy, and that applies to the entire so-called democratic western world.
Another great example of the double standards and dishonesty of rulers took place this week in Poland. It was the 80th commemoration of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau by the Soviets. The irony was that the western kleptocracies decided that the liberator the Russians should be excluded from the ceremony however in a twist of irony Germany the perpetrators of the holocaust was invited to attend. As they stood there pretending to care and to be decent human beings the reality was quite different.No sooner had the words “never again” been used when we found out the Polish Government had sent an invite to Benjamin Netanyahu to attend. Donald Tusk went as far as to guarantee this mass murderer of children safe passage from arrest.The democratic nations protecting a man accused of genocide!
This is the world we live in. We either have to accept it and get on with just surviving as our elite rob us blind or we take steps to change matters.

There was so many opportunities open to The SNP after 2014 with Sturgeon.
Most of these opportunities were to do with England and their inabilities at the time , they were on the back foot so many times and inundated with attacks politically , the SNP could’ve moved on all these problems the English were having.
Yet they didn’t have the acumen or abilities, spine to build on it.
They failed.

Yes …that NO vote in 2014 certainly has a lot to answer for …I wonder what our political landscape would look like today had we voted in favour of independence ?
Selective amnesia of Sturgeon. The reality as Frantz Fanon put it, is the dominant national party elite ‘lacks courage at the decisive moment’. That would be 2015 and the first of three successive nationalist majorities returned by the people to Westminster. Instead of settling up they settled in, as Ambassador Murray wrote at the time. ‘The colonial power takes the national party under its wing’.
Whilst I would agree that 2015 was the turning point for the SNP, and I know that there were huge marches and rallies, taking in all the independence movement, including YES, I’m not so sure that we would have won a referendum easily. No harm in trying, of course, didn’t mean that, but, in among the nationalist-minded former Labour supporters who defected to the SNP and the independence movement, were the hard left post modernists/culture warriors who had migrated across to cause as much upheaval as they could.
In order to understand what happened thereafter, you have to understand that mindset and how it operates. Their migration was never anything to do with independence because independence in any shape or form would have stymied their agenda. The SNP was hugely successful even though it lost the 2014 referendum, and, if anyone wants to research the way in which the hard left post modernists/culture warriors work (the brains, not the front-line brawn), it has been identical in every country adjacent to a large political entity with which it has an uneasy relationship. In other words, the hard left parasitized the SNP, Sinn Fein and Plaid Cymru, in the UK, the Quebec nationalists, in Canada, and so on, precisely because they were easy to infiltrate with ideas that appealed to sentiment rather than hard-headedness. If you can’t get your head round the manner of operation, you will not see the pattern and be shunted off into a siding of inertia on actual nationalist policy.
Alf is absolutely right about the collaboration of ‘colonial’ authorities, and the post modernists/culture warriors banked on this, too, in the derailing of independence movements. Too many still see them as incidental, accidental or a distraction, when they are quite the opposite and used our own sentiment for independence to infiltrate all the echelons of the various independence groups. They simply do not give a fig for independence and nor do their Vichy MSPs and MPs ostensibly working for independence, but actually working for the post modernist/cultural Marxism of the hard left.
Their aim is and always was to infiltrate, via the legal system, via the political settlement, via industry and via the civil service, the bigger entity next door. They were never strong enough to overcome the bigger entity’s guard in the same way. We have been used like discarded toilet roll by people who have no feeling for us and our aims whatsoever. Sturgeon and her cohort duly obliged and ensured that the post modernist/cultural Marxist agenda would be given prime attention, even against massive public misgivings, and the infiltrators knew that, too, because they knew that public unease was likely to bring down the agenda if allowed a free rein. Hence, we have the GRR still on the books, and the Hate Crime legislation, encapsulating non-crime hate incidents to terrorise the population into compliance.
The same strategy and tactics have been used world-wide in why was a prepared assault following the placing of like-minded individuals in roles where the most harm (or good, from their point of view) could be achieved. Every public, and many private, institutions already had people in place before the SNP started bringing in its policy legislation: the councils, the NHS, the prisons, the legal system, the civil service, the schools and universities, etc. The template for this was ‘Mein Kampf’, a fascist takeover of all German institutions well before Hitler came to power, although this movement was on the totalitarian side of the same coin, a Stalinist takeover, if you like. What so many appear to believe is a right-wing push taking place all over Europe owes its success to the totalitarianism of the hard left. The hard left always ushers in the far right. They are political twins with different personalities. Voting out the MSPs in 2026 will not work on its own: the infiltration has gone deep and it needs to be rooted out at source from within the institutions. Disaffiliation from Stonewall would go some way to alleviating the problems, but even this will not be enough to eliminate the contagion. If it is not rooted out before independence, it will utterly destroy the new country before it even gains its feet. Some might be happy to have a totalitarian, independent Scotland battling a far right opposition, two sides of the same coin. I’m not one of them.
