I do not presume to know the trials of being gay in 21st century Scotland, but I’d bet everything I have that it’s way better than the 1970s when I was growing up. We had TV shows like Love thy Neighbour and comedians such as Larry Grayson, it truly was a different world. I say all this because I recently had an interaction with a gay man on Facebook. He posted the “Pride Flag” with the following text:
“Gay pride was not born of a need to celebrate being gay, but the right to exist without persecution. So instead of wondering why there isn’t a straight pride movement, be thankful you don’t need one.”
I’m wondering, do straight people need one? Is it OK to openly say I’m a straight white man and I love women? No, thankfully we don’t… Yet. because it seems to me that has been the direction of travel in the past couple of years especially.
Anyhow, back to the post. I stated we need to ditch the flag as the battle is won. He lost it, insults came thick and fast, so I asked, “What rights do I have as a straight male that he doesn’t?”, he deleted this and continued the insults, following me over to my profile where eventually I had to block him.
My main issue with pride is the trans lunacy we’ve all had to endure, the constant barrage of pride weeks, days and months. I’m sick of it and to be honest we have way more pressing issues to sort out. I have no problem with gay people. When our lesbian neighbours got married my family were the only neighbours to attend. People are just people in my mind, ask anyone who knows me. There’s good and bad in all types.
Sexuality should be a private affair, not something to celebrate, or rather something we are forced to celebrate. Sure, if that’s your thing, go for it, but putting pride flags in primary schools? No thanks. This is just another category used to divide us in my humble opinion. They preach inclusivity when they sow division, positive discrimination is discrimination all the same, someone loses, but in this case someone more capable or qualified.
Pornography is rife, if I’d been a teenager with a phone these days I’d have done myself an injury, it’s very worrying how do young men and women approach each other? What are the expectations young lads have of teenage girls after being exposed to the sexual violence of PornHub which is owned by a Rabbi? How did the world become so sick and twisted?
I remember laughing at Mary Whitehouse, but I’m not laughing now.

We should probably separate out ‘sexuality’ from ‘gender identification’.
Sexual orientation is real. People can be heterosexual, homosexual or bisexual. That’s just a fact. And its personal. For the most part people don’t care anymore. They are indifferent. Which is how it should be. And much different from attitudes prevailing in pre-1990 or thereabouts.
Gender identification is fantasy.
The ‘arguments’ are based on the false premise that sex can be altered or is fluid so that persons can ‘identify’ as one of x number of genders on any one given day. And this can change depending on how they ‘feel’.
If that’s where it ended, all well and good. People should be able to dress how they like and behave how they like, as long as it doesn’t impinge on others adversely.
But as we all know, it doesn’t end there. Males identifying as females wish to enter women and girls safe spaces. They wish to participate in women and girls sporting competitions. The implications of this should not have to be spelled out.
The LGBTQI or to be more precise, the TQI+ lobby want pre-pubescent children and adolescents to be offered drugs to irreversibly stymie their natural physical and sexual development in order to help them ‘transition’. Operations mutilating both young girls and boys bodies are carried out fairly routinely in the USA, Canada and Australia.
From what I’ve read and seen the ‘debate’ over gender identification is conducted the vast majority of those advocating for the ‘rights’ of ‘LGBTQI+’ are in real need of psychological help. Rational discussion is not possible since expressing any doubts or reservations about the wisdom of gender ideology are met with the reaction of a screaming banshee from those who are in favour of the denial of biological reality.
The politicians in the western world have been largely captured by this ideology as have many civic institutions and private organisations.
Fortunately ordinary folk seem to have copped on to the madness and there is real push back.
The politicians are realising that the pandering to those with absurd views is over.

You have clearly been on the same journey I have. I don’t give a damn who anyone gets in the sack with other than it’s a consenting adult human being. Same sex relationships aren’t my preference but that’s the business of those concerned. That having been said it should remain private business; I have no time for those attention-seeking narcissists who insist upon screaming their sexuality from every rooftop.
That’s not confidence, that’s a psychological disorder.
And I wholeheartedly reject the sexualisation of childhood which has been going on for at least 30 years now. One only has to see the kind of clothing being marketed at pre-teen lassies to see what’s going on. And the availability of porn is also frankly disturbing.
Don’t get me wrong, I have never been any kind of strait laced Presbyterian joy-hater but it’s easy to see that everything has been pushed to a fundamentally disturbing and sinister manner.
It’s funny that you pondered the preachings of Mary Whitehouse as I did the same recently. I fear she had a more long term vision than we had.
Of course, the promotion of sex for recreation and dopamine thrills is also a valuable weapon for the Malthusian population reduction Fetishists. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the Sexual Revolution started not long after the Bilderberg Group got around the table for the first time.
Of course those ideas had been around a while longer when you consider that Aldous Huxley penned ‘Brave New World’s in the 1930s. Huxley’s father, indeed, was a noted Globalist and Malthusian.

It’s a relief to read like-minded thoughts
I suppose it’s needless to say that 99.9% of people couldn’t give a damn about other people’s sexuality. It may be that those who feel compelled to push and politicise the issue, to whatever extent may lack a basic confidence in the factuality of their publicly proclaimed sexuality. Male gay-bashers of yore spring to mind.
I’m with you on this. I had a touchy situation online too but with AUOB sales of “Scottish” flags. When I saw the rainbow, I asked what it meant (all innocent me!) and the reply astounded me. It was the “inclusivity” nonsense in a condescending manner. Needless to say, I left it there and didn’t part with a penny, nor would I ever!
The whole ‘woke’ phenomenon is very reminiscent of Maoism. You simply could not dissent. It was forbidden. Much the same in the Soviet Union. Cancellation, job loss, sent to the margins of society. It is a political movement with a political and social agenda, even if very few adherents actually understand what it is. It manifests in the sexual arena as ‘trans’ and shows all the same elements necessary for brain takeover as cult-like religions and/or political belief systems. It is cultural Marxism.
Most reasonable, sensible people would desist once they saw the effects of this nonsense, but not the ‘trans’ lobby – partly because big bucks are to be made, but also because their brains have been rewired, I believe. The activists are another thing altogether, and downright malice and malignancy appears to prompt their support of this and every other form of ‘woke’. It is not just youth but something more: I’d say a profound sexual perversion that manifests as a belief system: cross-dressing transvestism and autogynephilia. So powerful is the person (more or less always male) steeped in it that he, like the drug addict/porn addict/gambler/alcoholic, needs greater and greater stimulation to achieve the same highs.
The young seduced into this can be saved, but I very much doubt that their adult counterparts can be, for the simple reason that they do not wish to be. They know exactly what they are doing and they know exactly what they are and they know that they are not women, but women are in their way and easy to swat aside, especially when no one cares at all about their rights. When they went after the children, however, they underestimated women’s wrath. Sometimes, when you really understand what is at stake, you have to risk unpopularity, hatred even, and that is the case right across the board. Usually, when a gut instinct is telling us to beware, it is not wrong. It is a honed, evolutionary and biological instinct that has been millennia in the making.
