Thatcher started the deindustrialization of the UK, everything was outsourced even our military to NATO which is just a rebranding of the US military in Europe. In Ukraine they trained and armed a huge force to NATO standards and that military is now decimated. The UK is heavily invested in the Ukraine project which was meant to break the Russian economy and the pirate capitalists in the Square Mile were to reap the reward.
America has realised that the game’s a bogey so are pulling out, the EU elites, like the London elites, are over invested, without American backing they can only wail and gnash teeth. I believe we are looking at the end of the EU project and perhaps the UK union. Complete financial collapse is heading our way folks, Weimar Republic style hyperinflation.
Even if America decides to continue this shit show, Russia has the upper hand, they have the supply lines, the manpower and the weaponry. America has a military industry that’s just not up to the task, it’s an overinflated profit generator, it doesn’t produce cutting edge tech to compete with Russia, hypersonic missiles are on the wishlist.
Musk isn’t going to change this situation any time soon as his vaunted tech lags well behind China. Reality has caught up with Hollywood style jingoism, America isn’t the supreme ruler of the globe, tariffs will not change this.
So Starmer and Macron can puff up all they like, they are toothless. They can’t even target missiles without US satellite systems. Russia has all the aces and some. Thankfully London also needs US codes to launch their nukes. I honestly wouldn’t put it past them to try a black swan or false flag event, these people are desperate, this is existential for the banking class, their dream of global dominance is over.

I’ve said before that the British people got their social contract from the government post WWII due to the fact that much of its male population were armed trained killers.

The Weimar Republic is already here for many who are sitting in cold houses and undernourished in the twilight years of their lives but I don’t see a damn finger being lifted nor an angry voice being raised in protest on the streets of Scotland about it; shame on us all for that. That the EU will disintegrate is only inevitable, but that can only be expected when a largely unelected, unaccountable and faceless gang of co-conspirators, with connections to who-knows what, are ‘gifted’ control of the levers-of-power.

I have heard this said many many times that Scots are apathetic cowards which basically is what you are implying , I agree with you to some extent but there are many reasons why this is so , NO1 we have been brow beaten by the traitors we have had in our midst for decades if not centuries, fake Scots who desperately want to be English and are quite content to bask in what they consider the reflective glory of the empire, they cannot identify the open hostility and contempt that many of the English feel for Scots and the open and blatant hostility and contempt displayed daily by English MP’s towards Scotland and their representatives , rather than confront and destroy the hostility and contempt on show they meekly regain their seats and mumble incoherent asides to hide their cowardice
We have been beaten into submission by the never ending lies and corruption of politicians from ALL parties including the snp who have FAILED us continuously in never presenting a challenge to the false demand that Scots are subject to English parliamentary rules and regulation, it is only now when private individuals have shown the courage and tenacity to publicly engage in research and investigation that they are exposing the ongoing lies and duplicity that has been widely suppressed by generations of proud Scots BUTS

Even when independence marches were being attended in the hundred thousands, where were our supposed independence party MP’s and MSP’s , MOST of them have NEVER attended a independence rally or march , MOST of them have attended PRIDE marches or events including trans related events, Scotland’s (not my) First Ministers ,Sturgeon,Useless now Spineless Swinney take great pleasure in openly and publicly attending these events where deviance and perversion is on display to families and young children

Wages between 1980 to 2020 up 64%, GDP 87% and house prices 1140%.
All the time the markets have shifted to look after the Financial Sector over Manufacturing. Banker bonuses were a higher priority for the Unionist Party than the people of this country.
What is needed is true leaders to ascend to power. Ones with a vision to improve this country. We don’t need a Television face but ones who are capable, pragmated and able to deliver. Atlee was the best yet he’d never be in the running today.
Grangemouth requires to be nationalised. We will need to keep refining as we need the others parts like the bitumen unless you give up totally on road repairs. North Sea Oil and Gas is necessary and will be necessary for years to come as we haven’t invested in the scale required for Hydrogen. Tidal anyone. Talked, yes, delivered NO!
Energy needs to be zonal pricing to utilise the true costs not the artificial market cost. This would give our manufacturing and hospitality sectors a boost. An energy export tax would raise at 5% over £14 billion a year to invest in our infrastructure and training requirements. India and others never did away with skills training and they now control ship building, engineering projects.
As for Defence, a European defence force is not workable. However an agreement to utilise the skills of each country to produce the weapons we will unfortunately need is possible. This should have begun in 2016. The Future Combat Aircraft System is one such project. Today the focus should be on using non-US systems with it as we can no longer rely on the US. Challenger 3 and the Leopard are superior tanks to the Abrams. To manufacture our needs we’ll need to use manufacturing in other European countries.
We need underwater drones to combat our exposure to sub sea interference.
An Independent Scotland is necessary to begin the changes we will need. Is there the will under our present leadership to focus on that and not their day job? There are enough with pensions from Westminster who could be doing this now. Put Scotland First!

Europe will have to sort itself out and sooner rather than later. Its economies are on a downward trend and immigration is a powder keg.
Scotland should go for independence asap for similar reasons but also because England is trying to assimilate/ destroy us a recognisable entity.
What must the guid folk of Finland be thinking just now?
New management is installed in Washington, and the promised largesse of the American, Permanent State disappears like the melting snow.
The current generation of political leaders in Finland and Sweden signing up to NATO membership with their respective parliaments (for the time being at least) was a historical aberration and the culmination of decades of careful cultivation by the State Department.
The Prime Minister of Finland when it joined NATO (4th April 2023) was Sanna Marin. At 34 when she became PM, Marin was the poster girl for identity politics (having been substantially raised by a single sex couple) and championing the propagation of Western, liberal values globally (regardless of any local opposition). When her Social Democratic Party lost its status as the largest party in the General Election of 2023, Marin was replaced as PM by the leader of the National Coalition Party. Rather than serve on the backbenches, Marin resigned from Finish politics and assumed the position of “strategic adviser” at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change. This was reminiscent of David Milliband some years earlier (see below).

Previous generations of Scandinavian politicians would never have agreed to NATO membership. The proposition is preposterous. Finland & Sweden managed to remain neutral while sharing a land and maritime border with a notionally ideological and expansionist Soviet Union. The idea that the Russian Federation is about to occupy non-Russian speaking territory is crazy.
Yes, I’m well aware of Russian expansion into Finland during Tsarist times and the Winter War during Stalin’s time.
Equally, I’m aware of concerns from the Baltic states that Russia will encroach on their territory using cultural persecution of ethnic Russians within their borders (real or imagined) as a raison d’etre.
Q: Guess what the solution to that problem is?

The folk of Finland will pay the price for this Foggy Bottom directed lunacy. Finnish defence spending in terms of GDP has expanded by 50% in four years. In addition, Finnish / Russian trade has ceased. Prior to this, Finland exported $2b pa worth of goods to Russia and received $5b pa of goods in return. Russian exports substantially comprised raw materials for Finnish industry. This is roughly equally divided between Hydrocarbons which can be sourced elsewhere (at a greater cost) and semi-processed, scarce minerals (primarily Nickel) which were traditionally refined using Finland’s abundant Hydroelectric power capacity. The cumulative effect will impact hard on living standards of ordinary citizens in Helsinki. *
The career politicians touched by the magic hand of the State Department will of course be immune to hardship. Politics is a precarious means of putting bread on the table, but that’s Foggy Bottom’s sales pitch, a safety net for when the great unwashed rumble these carpetbagging parasites. The proposition is all the more attractive as by design these young, Stepford politicians have no real-world skills to fall back on. One of the many reasons Sturgeon despised and feared Joanna Cherry was that the threat of deselection held little sway over someone who could double their income back on “civi-street”. In England, second careers in the House of Lords are dispensed (Austin, Mann, Woodcock, … ), in Scotland, academic sinecures are handed out (Dugdale, Gethins, … ). Other means of remuneration are available.
The previous high point of State Department interference in Nordic politics was Helle Thorning-Schmidt’s, Prime Ministerial stint in Denmark. This was the period where the Danish Security Services bugged Angela Merkel’s phone at the behest of the American NSA.
On being kicked out of office in 2015, Thorning-Schmidt was promptly hired as CEO of Save the Children. The incumbent of that post at present earns in excess of £200k. This reminds me of David Milliband’s consolation prize for loosing the Labour leadership election to his brother. Milliband senior was awarded the position of CEO of the International Rescue Committee in 2013 (a position he still holds). This New York based post carried at the time a salary of £300k. This package has subsequently rocketed to well in excess of £760k.
Thorning-Schmidt is married to Blairite ghoul Stephen Kinnock, the epitome of the entitled profession politician. In a delicious twist, recent large sample population, Multilevel Regression Poststratification polling suggests Kinnock will lose his seat to Reform UK.
Thorning-Schmitd’s résumé is a wonder to behold. Directorships in a dozen globalist, Neoliberal outfits. WEF, Atlantic Council, Council on Foreign Relations, etc., etc., etc.. A CV like that ‘I’ll get you a prime seat on the first tumbril when the pitchforks & burning torches appear.
Thorning-Schmidt and Kinnock possess the must have accessory for these lofty circles; a Trans son / daughter / whatever.

The blood flowing from this horrific , unnecessary , utterly contrived carnage is on the hands of all the aforementioned cowards – unbelievably , still baying for more lives to be destroyed and the biggest losers are 1st n foremost the 1000s of humans ( on both sides ) sacrificed to sate the greed of monsters who themselves never risk so much as a scratched finger : the long-past-it’s-sell-date NATO ; the EU and most sadly Europe itself .
Recovery is always possible – but in this instance that will not be possible until the entire current Political Class ( with pitifully few exceptions ) is cleared ( chased ) out and replaced with people of much higher moral n intellectual calibre .
Let’s start that process in the only place we can , ie here at home in Scotland .
